Masculine Beautiful World Globe

Hello there...

I hope you had a Merry Christmas!  As we wait for the New Year to ring in, I thought I would post a project or two that I have not shared yet.  One of my favorite product suites in the 2020-2021 annual catalog is the World of Good Suite Collection!  It is a great collection of product for masculine card, for someone who likes to travel, and for scrapbooking.  I myself, am hoping to be able to travel again soon.  This pandemic has been a real downer for that so I guess in the meantime, I can dream of where I will be going first!

  • Crumb Cake CS 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored and folded at 4-1/2 for card base
  • Misty Moonlight CS 4 x 5-1/2 embossed with the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder

I wanted to point out a couple details from the World Map Dies that I thought was really neat.

  • First.... There are 2 globe dies so both sides of the world is covered!  I just love that Stampin' Up! thought about this detail.
  • Second... look at the script embossing plate!  How cool is that?  It embossing coordinates into your paper
  • Third... I think the feather and ink bottle just adds a great classic touch.
  • Okay.... one more thing:  I LOVE THAT SWIRL DIE!

World of Good - Leaders Swap (1 of 2)

Here are some card shares... these three beautiful card swaps I received, all feature the "World of Good" product suite.  Each project all includes a tiny element of another product available in the 2020-2021 Annual catalog.  Great way of bringing things together.

Enjoy the share!

Card 1:  Adventure Awaits!

PicsArt_07-16-01.00.29

I wish I could give credit to whomever make the above card but no name was included.   I love how the World of Good DSP paper was cut smaller to 3" x 4" and the Cinnamon Cider mat is 3-1/4" x 4-1/4".  Why do I always think my paper needs to cover the whole card front?  Hmmm... and just think, a 12 x 12 piece of DSP cut to that size will get you 16 pieces or 16 cards.  Here are some other elements used outside of the "World of Good" Suite Collection:

  • label die from "Tasteful Labels"
  • Gilded Gems

Card 2:  You Make the World...

PicsArt_07-16-01.02.46

This card was submitted by fellow demonstrator, Michelle Hornback, from Glasgow, KY.  Interesting that she did a rectangle piece of DSP just like the Adventures Awaits card above.  But Michelle measures as follows:

  • DSP 2-3/4 x 3-3/4 matted in Early Espresso that is 3 x 4
  • Card base and top rectangle with the globes is Pool Party
    • card base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4 on long side
    • top rectangle is 2-1/4 x 3-1/2
    • stamp two globes in Pool Party
  • You will need another Early Espresso Mat cut to 2-1/2 x 3-3/4.  Adhere Pool Party to this.
  • Wrap "Faux Suede Trim" around DSP and Early Espress piece, tie a know, adhere to card base
  • top Early Espresso and Pool Party stamped with globes, adhere with Dimensionals

Card 3:  You Make The World... Gold Globe

PicsArt_07-16-01.06.14

Do you ever see something and say to yourself, "man, why didn't I think of that..."  Well, that was this one.  A beautiful card from Jill Olsen @ Stamping Jill.  She used the Gold Hoops from the Forever Greenery Suite Collection.  What a clever idea.  Here are the card details:

  • Misty Moonlight card base cut 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 and scored at 4-1/4 on the long side
  • Add a layer of Misty Moonlight CS with Dimensionals to card base.  Cut 4 x 5-1/4.  But first, looks like Jill roughed up the edges
  • 3 strips on DSP are all cut to 1-1/2 x 3-3/4 and adhered to the roughed up layer above
  • die cut & adhere Basic Black CS that is 1/2 x 5-1/4 with the decorative die from the World is Good
  • die cut & adhere the globe base in Gold Foil
  • stamp globe image in Cinnamon Cider on Whisper White, stamping off first on a scrap piece of paper.
  • stamp world in Black Memento
  • die cut circle and adhere with Dimensionals
  • add Gold Hoop with Mini Glue Dots

World of Good Pop-Up Book Card

There is something about a great product suite that is not only masculine, but old world, has lots of foils and is just easy to work with.  Well, this New product suite called World of Good offers all of that!

So I bit the bullet ladies.... I held my first Zoom card class.  I have been a guest on many Zoom meetings but I had not hosted my own meeting.  So I took a leap of faith and said, just go for it an see what happens.  Luckily, I think it went pretty well.  I wanted to be able to connect and stamp with others so I offered a free creative fold class.

Everyone picked out there own designer series paper with two or three designs and some coordinating card stock.  I walked them through how to make this really cool pop-up book card.

For my card, I chose to use the World of Good product suite and I absolutely love how it came out.   I highly recommend the Stampin' Up! Paper Trimmer for this card!

Here's the front of the card...

PicsArt_06-20-08.10.00

So as you can see, how I designed mine, there is no space for you to write anything or sign it.  Here are 2 options to work around that:

  • as a piece of Very Vanilla card stock to the back of the card for your final sentiment and writing/signing the card
  • or... my two Very Vanilla pieces on the inside pop-up, use one of those for your writing/signing

Note:  as I was not able to pre-order the Coordinating Brass Foil Sheets, I used with Gold Foil.  I included the Brass Foil Sheets in my Supply list below

I ended up turning this card into a Father's Day Card.  I did not take a photo for sentimental reasons, but I used words from the "A Good Man" stamp set which was a nice touch.
