Sea of Textures for Father's Day

Okay, I need to start by sharing how excited I am that the GLITTER ENAMEL DOTS will be carrying over to the 2019-2020 catalog!  These are the best enamel dots ever.  The are sparkly, colorful (one sheet has four bright colors), and they are not bulky, so excellent for mailing.

Sea of Texture's Bundle is retiring!

PicsArt_04-19-10.44.40

I have had a late love bloom for the Sea of Textures Bundle (stamps and dies).  I think it was the octopus image that scared me away but the sand dollars, netting, and coral are great. I got the card idea from one of my Team members, Sandy Bennett.  Thanks Sandy!

Coastal Cabana is my card base and ink used on the Pool Party piece of card stock to add texture.  The Pool Party card stock is cut 4-1/4" x 2-1/2"

Whisper White card stock is also cut 4-1/4" x 2-1/2" and ran through the Big Shot with Wood Textures embossing folder.  Ha!  Ha!  Did you notice my lines are at an angle?  My card stock slipped in the folder and I never noticed.  All well... adds more dimension I guess.

Soft Suede card stock is 4-1/4" x 1-1/2" and stamped with the Soft Suede Ink.

Elements:  long coral is Pool Party card stock, small coral is cut with Soft Suede and Calypso Coral card stock, Netting is Crumb Cake and the Sand Dollars are Whisper White sponged with a little Soft Suede ink.

Did You Know???

Did you know Stampin' Up! listened to their Demonstrators and customers?

Debuting in the 2019 Occasions catalog are "Cling" stamps.  They will be replacing our current 'red rubber' stamps including wood-mount stamps (except wood-mount Background stamps... these are staying).

Stylish Christmas with a Tip or Two

Christmas is coming so boy, I better start posting all my card projects.  With just returning from OnStage (Stampin' Up! convention) in Orlando, the prep before hand, I am behind.

I love this card, from the Flap Fold to the color of Merry Merlot, it just says Christmas to me!   Be sure to check out my Events Calendar for my upcoming class featuring this set.  Not local or cannot make in-person class, let me know and I will mail you the stamp set and all pieces for the 9 cards.  Include $7.00 for postage.  You can add on any items you may not have like ink or embossing folder.

The Copper Foil sheet is embossed with the Swirls & Curls Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder really pops and adds that needed shine.

I have made a printable PDF so that you can download and save.  The possibilities are endless for this Folding Flap Card.  You can make it for any occasion.

Don't have a Big Shot?  #simplestamping technique.  Use a piece of Designer series paper in place of the Copper Foil Sheet and Embossing Folder or stamp your own background like I did on the inside of the card.

Embossing Paste Meets Country Home with a Touch of Shimmer Paint

Here is my last card in my series of featuring the Country Home Stamp set and the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF).  Although, the embossing fold my return for some holiday cards!

PicsArt_09-26-04.58.32[1]

This time I used Copper Foil paper which goes great with all the brown tones of the Crumb Cake card base and Early Espresso patterned paper and ink.

The wood grain background paper is from the Country Lane Designer Series Paper pack!  I bet you thought it was from our Wood Textures 6x6 paper stack....

Oval Stitched Framelit is used for the focal background and the two Label Framelits for the words are from Lakeside Framelit Dies.

Two-For-One-Stamp:   on a scrap pieces of Crumb Cake case stock, I stamped the words "Simply Thankful For All the Good Things" which is all one stamp.  I then fussy cut out "Simply Thankful" for card middle.  Clean your stamp, and just ink up the "For All The Good Things", stamp on Crumb Cake and cut using the banner framelit die.  OH... you can use your Early Espresso market to ink the words.

I made a boo-boo on my card!  I wanted to stamp the watering can and floral images on Very Vanilla card stock, but I accidentally grabbed Whisper White.  So just pretend it is Very Vanilla.  Images are colored using Blender Pens, Early Espresso ink and Mint Macaron ink.

Shimmer Paint and Embossing Paste:

If you ZOOM in on the card, look at the "cotton" and the berries".  The berries are colored with Bright Copper Shimmer Paint!  I just used a paint brush to dab on.  The center flower is too, just a very, very thin layer of Shimmer Paint.

The "cotton" on the cottonwood branches is Embossing Paste!  The cool part is that because I stamped the floral image with Early Espresso (water-based ink), the Embossing Paste (because it is wet) pulled some of that Early Espresso ink into the paste.  I love how that happened, so the "cotton" is not so white.  What do you think?

The card is finished off with a little bow made with the 3/16" Braided Linen Trim Ribbon.
