Swing Fold Card with Poppies

So I waited a few weeks to post this card project on my blog.  My Video has been out for a few weeks now on My YouTube channel.  I would completely appreciate your following so be sure to subscribe.

It seemed like all my current projects have been with the Peaceful Poppies Suite so I have been trying to go to some other great things in my stash.  Well, let me tell you... I keep reaching for them!  Must mean I really like the suite, and well, I do.  Everything coordinates just so, you can make some quick and easy projects or really doc them up into intricate pieces of art.

For this project I show you how to make a SWING FOLD CARD.

More Black Ice Projects

Sometimes when I do a special technique or style of card, I just need to keep going with it!  It's like finding that perfect pair of pants and buying them in every color...LOL!

Several weeks ago I shared my Black Ice Technique card, which turned into several more, so I have to share them with you.   Be sure to click on the bold words in the previous sentence to see my previous post too.

My first projects is using the Magnolia Lane Suite and Champagne Foil Sheets.  I also used the Everyday Label Punch for background interest.

Spritzing with Pigment Sprinkles

Hey everyone!  So I tried a new way of using Pigment Sprinkles and I love the results!  Results will vary every time you try this technique depending on the paper and amount of Pigment Sprinkles you use.

Start by heat embossing some images.  I used Shimmer Black Embossing Powder with two floral images and a leaf from the Peaceful Poppies Suite.  More specific, the Painted Poppies Bundle stamp set.

My card base is Daffodil Delight 8-1/2 x 5-1/2

Layer of Basic Black is 5-1/4 x 4 (also cut the black leaves from this layer piece).  Leaf die is from the Poppy Moments Dies.

Whisper White layer is 5-1/8 x 3-7/8" and embossed with the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder.

SAVI SUNDAYS = Stamping and Various Inspirations.   Here's my first one!

This is my new Sunday series of YouTube videos.  Each Sunday I will be posting a short video to share tips, tricks, and inspirations that I may discover or find.  It could be a different way to use a product, a tool tip, care and instructions, etc.  So be sure to Subscribe to my Youtube Channel (Lisa Brown Stamp with Lisa Brown).

Oh!  Just in case you are wondering.... there is another demonstrator with My Name so that is why I made that my channel name.  I really need to rename my 'stampwithlisabrown' website too but, ugh!

Anyway, on with my tip.

1st SAVI tip....  How to use the scalloped boarder die all the way across your project

The scalloped board die from the Painted Poppies bundle is only 2-1/2" long.  But if you cut out multiple pieces, when you overlap the ends, it will continue the design pattern!  Watch my video to see this in action.

Card Measurements:

  1. Basic Black card base:   8-1/2 x 5-1/2"
  2. Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper:   4 x 5-1/4"
  3. Basic Black rectangle mat:  2 x 3-5/16"
  4. Rectangle DSP is die cut from #2 above using a Stitched Rectangle Die (cut piece is 1-13/15 x 3-3/15")

I used Poppy Parade for the single flower.  The center rectangle is popped up with Stampin' Dimensional.  And our "Happy Birthday" is from the 'Timeless Tulip" bundle.

Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper

PicsArt_01-09-01.08.10  PicsArt_01-09-01.15.37

One of my favorite Designer Series Paper packs in the 2020 Mini Catalog!  I absolutely love the bright and vibrant colors.  So easy to make a great looking card with a few layers of paper.  Be sure to check out the entire bundle of product for all the coordination.  Peaceful Poppies Suite will not disappoint.  Just know that you can purchase individually or as smaller bundles like the Peaceful Moments or Painted Poppies.  See my supply list below to click on the "suite", the two bundles, and the paper.

Or maybe you need an extra pack of paper... you can do that too!

I know I said it above... but look at those gorgeous colors!  So many like Blackberry Bliss, Poppy Parade, Mossy Meadow, Gorgeous Grape and more.

Make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel and check out my new series called "Savi Sundays".  In my video I show a SAVI tip for the little scalloped banner die from the Painted Poppies Bundle.  It is a must see!
