Forever Blossoms & Black Ice

If you don't know this about me already, I am in love with the Parisian Blossoms Product Suite.  Who doesn't love Paris???  I had a post a couple of weeks ago that you can see HERE of a relatively simple and pretty card.  I declared my love the product suite then and today, my mind is no different.  Matter of fact, be sure to check out yesterday's SAVI Sunday video and while there, subscribe to my channel.

I had a in-person technique class recently, and the ladies really enjoyed the projects and were amazed at the Black Ice Technique.  I actually did this technique class probably 1-1/2 years ago but had several requests to do again.

Here is one of the projects made with the cherry blossom flower from the Forever Blossoms Stamp Set in the Parisian Blossoms suite.

Card base is Early Espresso standard 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 scored and folded at 4-1/4.

Gold Fold Sheet cut to 5-1/4 x 4" (this is what we did the Black Ice Technique on)

Label punch is the Timeless Label Punch punched with Very Vanilla and Early Espresso.  Words were stamped using the New Saddle Brown Stazon ink pad.

I'm excited that the Glitter Enamels Dots are still available as they make a nice accent along with the Very Vanilla satin ribbon with the gold edging.

Here is a close up picture:

The black ice technique is a combination of foil paper, permanent ink and clear embossing powder.  I love the texture that it leaves. Have you tried this technique?

**Before you look at my supplies list, note that I linked the Entire Parisian Blossoms Product Suite!  Just so you know, items can be individually purchased along with the 2 Bundles (stamp set w/dies) in the suite.  Questions... just shoot me an email!

Parisian Beauty is Truly My Favorite

I cannot tell you my excitement when I saw the Parisian Blossom Product Suite!  I squealed with excitement.  Paris was on my bucket list for many years and I finally received the opportunity to go. I cannot believe it has already been three years since that trip so I am ready to go back.

Thought I would share some of my favorite pictures from that trip.

One of the really cool parts, and there were many,  was I found out they celebrate Veterans Day just like Americans and at the same time.  There was a big parade down the famous main street of Champs-Elysees which leads to the Arc de Triomphe.  Under the Arc is a forever burning flame and it was surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of beautiful roses and carnations giving remembrance to the soldiers who served.  Inside the Arc de Triomphe, I climbed all 284 steps to the top.  What a sight!  You have a 360 degree view of the city.  Inside the Arc are a couple of small museum rooms, solider uniforms from over the years, and plaques.  Very cool and well worth the admission ticket.

Anyways, the Parisian Beauty and Forever Blossoms Bundles, along with Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper, ribbon, Champagne rhinestones, Parisian embossing folder make the SUITE a must for me.

My card above has a Basic Black card base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, Petal Pink card stock is 5-3/8 x 4-1/8 and embossed with the Parisian Flourish 3-D folder.

Designer Series Paper strip is 4-1/8 x 1" and from the Parisian Blossoms SDSP, along with the ribbon and rhinestones.

The Scalloped Rectangles are dies from the So Sentimental Bundle set.

This is was I did for the inside using Black Memento, Petal Pink and Pool Party Classic Ink Pads.
