Easter Lily... okay, I know, It's a Daffodil 😊

I know this is a retired set (You're Inspiring) from the 2018 Occasions catalog, but I had a special request for a spring flower Easter card so I decided to share with you.  You can use any stamp image you would like in place of the daffodils.

Both cards were colored with Stampin' Blends!  The yellow part is a combination of Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody, both dark markers.  I used the Light and Dark Old Olive for the leaves and stems.

The top card is stamped in Black Memento Ink on Whisper White Card Stock and then colored in using the Stampin' Blends.

The bottom card is colored on the Backside of Vellum!  I heat embossed the image using white embossing powder and color on the opposite side with your Blends.  Love that technique! And it is forgiving on coloring in the lines.

Happy spring and Happy Easter!

One Sheet Wonder - Peaceful Noel

Here is a sneak peak at my 9 cards but keep reading to see them all!

A couple of weeks ago, I adventured off to Lake Chautauqua, New York for a small retreat weekend with a group of ladies.  I believe there was 21 of us in total and we are all crafters.  Most make scrapbooks, but a lot make cards too, so it is a nice mix and we get to see what everyone is working on.  The retreat center overlooks Lake Chautauqua and is so beautiful and peaceful.  The area had their first major snow storm early in the morning before I arrived.  Looked to be abut 5 or 6 inches of snow so the scenery was extra beautiful.  But I do have to say, it was a good weekend to stay indoors and enjoy the fireplace.

One of my downline, Jeanne, has hosted this retreat for many years.  I met her through other means, and as we got to know each other better, she said "hey... would you like to come to this crop weekend?".  And that is how I started going.  And it is how she came to sign up to be a Demonstrator.  Now she does a couple of card classes while we are there and decided to participate this time and I had soooo much fun being the 'student' instead of the 'teacher'.

Our project was an 8-1/2" x 11" One Sheet Wonder.  But I loved her twist... we embossed one of the images!  What a great idea.  Here's a close up so you can see the branch from Peaceful Noel stamp set embossed in Copper Embossing Powder

In case you do not know, a One Sheet Wonder is stamping images all over a single piece of card stock and then cutting the card stock up to make multiple cards.  You can use an size paper, several images and inks, or just one.  It is completely up to you.  Here is my One Sheet Wonder all stamped and embossed.

It makes it look like Designer Series Paper, doesn't it?

After cutting the stamped and embossing card stock, I played with my arrangement of pieces and my embellishments!  I love how these turned out. (you should be able to tap on any of my photos and they will open larger).

And if I had to pick favorites, I think I would choose these, probably because of the wire embellishments, which I am so sad to say are already sold out for the season. I have listed all my supplies below (if sold out, I still listed for reference).

I hope you enjoyed these cards!  Any questions on what I used, send me a note.

Shimmer Paint & Shimmer Paste Come Together!

Hello!  It has been cold and snowy this week in the Cleveland, Ohio area.  So I think this card is appropriate, especially, we also have a lot of deer around.

I enjoy doing cards like this; it has a little texture but not overwhelming.  Most of all, you can create for several occasions such as birthday, Christmas, thinking of you, just because, and more.  It does not have to be just for the holidays!

Don't you just love these trees?  They are from the In the Woods Framelit dies and I used Whisper White and Soft Sea Foam card stock.  (In the Woods framelits bundle with Winter Woods stamp set.  I have linked both in my product list below).

Tip:  these trees are great to use your Fine Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets

So, are you asking how I did my winter background?

Do you see that shimmer in the upper left-hand corner?  I tried to get the light to reflect as much as possible while photographing the card so you could see the shine.  It is made with Frost White Shimmer Paint and cellophane (or Saran Wrap as I call it).  I took a small piece of Saran Wrap and loosely balled it up, poured a droplet of shimmer paint on my Silicone Craft sheet, and dabbed into the paint.  I spread the shimmer paint around my silicone mat a little so when I dab onto my Whisper White card stock, it is nice and light instead of 'clumps' of paint.

Tip:  you can dab the Shimmer Paint on your trees too!

My 'snowy ground' is  Shimmery White Embossing Paste.  Perfect application!  I spread the Shimmer Paste across the bottom of the Whisper White card stock with my Palette knives.  Then, bounced the Palette knife over it to give it tiny peaks and an uneven surface.

Lastly, my deer is from the Detailed Deer Thinlit dies and cut out using Early Espresso card stock.  (Detailed Deer dies bundle with Dashing Deer stamp set.  Again, I have linked both below as you save 10% with bundles).

Here is a list of supplies I used.  Be sure to shop at or click on any of the images below to go straight to my store.

Using Designer Series Paper

Using Designer Series Paper (DSP) is a great way to dress up a card and to use up scrap pieces, like I did for the reindeer card.

All Is Bright DSP is so beautiful with life-like images on some of the sheets, like these ornaments.  The card is also featuring the Dashing Deer Bundle.  The leaping deer is cut out of Gold Glimmer paper.  Have you tried our New Glimmer Papers that came out in the June Annual Catalog?  It is the best out there... no glitter everywhere when you cut, die cut or punch out!

Dashing Deer Creative Fold:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base Score at 1" and 4-1/4"

Full Supply List Below

Next, the Frosted Florals DSP is absolutely gorgeous!  The paper is frosted with shimmer (hard to capture in a photo).  I coordinated with the First Frost Bundle (stamp set & thinlit dies) to create a little bouquet of flowers and leaves (done in Pear Pizzazz, Vellum, & Galvanized Foil papers).  The main colors are Blackberry Bliss and Pear Pizzazz with a Frosted Epoxy Droplet.

 Creative Fold:  card base is 11" x 4-1/4"  and scored at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2" (mats are 2-1/2" x 4" and 5-1/4" x 4")

Inner folded case stock:  3" x 9" and scored at 3" and 6" (mats 2-3/4" squares)

Remember:    when adhering down the top square of inner front piece (front with flowers), make sure to only put adhesive on the top half.
