We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop Season of Giving

BeeBlogHopOpeningIcon

Welcome to our December Team Blog Hop.

I am going to share a cute Treat Bag with a fold over flap.  There are so many ways to make bags, but I found this one to be a bit different with the flap.  It is a great size too 3 x 4 x 2.  The bag does narrow at the top but you can easily fit a gift card, chocolates like Hershey kisses and a bit of paper shred for some fun.  What a great little treat bag.

I am featuring the super cute Beary Christmas suite collection.

20231201_200743

I used Boho Blue card stock for the base of the bag

Cutting and Scoring:

  • card stock is 8 x 10-1/2
  • on the long side, score at 3", 5", 8" and 10"
  • on the short side, score at 2" on each side
  • Designer Series Paper Pieces are:
    • 2 pieces at  2-3/4 x 3-3/4
    • 1 piece for the flap at 1-3/4 x 2-3/4

Using the Very Best Trio punch, round the corners of what will be the flap and the 1-3/4 x 2-3/4 DSP.  Here is what you card stock should look like after you have cut and scored. The left side will be the bottom of your bag.  You can slightly angle in your bottom cuts.

Here is a little side angle.  See how I pinched the sides to close the bag?  Then fold over the flap to close, then wrap linen thread around several times to close.

I used the Memories & More card pack along with the 2" Circle Punch to create a little tag.

We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop - Stamped Christmas Gifts

BeeBlogHopOpeningIcon

Welcome to this month's Team Blog Hop and thank you for joining us as we head into the busiest time of the year.  Hope your holidays are magical.

Just a reminder the Last Chance Product list and sale started today.  CLICK HERE to check out all the great items.

My project today features the Window Wishes Bundle and the fabulous Snowflake 12 x 12 Specialty Vellum!

20221201_200850

For the bag:

  • 2 pieces of specialty vellum cut at a 10" square
  • Score 3 sides at 2-1/2" and the last side at 1-1/4"
  • Fold each scored line and give it a good crease using a bone folder.  It will really help with the vellum
  • Holding the scored vellum in front of you:
    • fold the 1-1/4 line toward you and glue down (makes the top flap)
    • snip off the bottom left and bottom right squares leaving the middle flap
    • all the 2-1/2 scored lines get folded back
    • do this to both 10" squares
  • Adhere the two 10" pieces together.  Side flaps first an then the bottom.

Here a side angle picture.

20221201_200914

The window/candles/wreath are all made with the Window Wishes Bundle.

A couple of tips:

  • Use a  Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker to add dots of berries to the wreath.
  • I cut the two window dies with Basic White card stock but then also cut the inner die again with Basic Black cardstock.
  • I inserted the black negative pieces to give a solid background.

Another Tip:  when making the bag and using vellum, the 1-1/4" top flap will show the dull side of the vellum.  I took left over strips of the specialty vellum paper and adhered to the four flap sides.  I used 2 pieces of 1-1/8" x 2-3/8" and 2 pieces of 1-1/8" x 4-7/8".  Colored card stock would also look nice.

Because the vellum is a thicker material, it does not show the Stampin' Seal+ adhesive used to hold the bag together!

I hope you like my project now....

We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop - 3-D Christmas Gifts

BeeBlogHopOpeningIcon

Hello... and welcome to our monthly Blog Hop!  I have been so excited for this month as we are doing a 3-D project (anything other than a regular card).  Not only do I love making cards, but I enjoy general crafting too; and actually, that is how I stumbled into Stampin' Up!  Someone I craft with, invited me to a Stampin' Up! party.

So I am very excited to share my Christmas Gift 3-D project with you.  And it does not hurt that I used my favorite product suite, Whimsy & Wonder!  I'm sad that it will be retiring soon.

Be sure to check out the RETIRING LIST just released today!  Also, items have been added to the CLEARANCE RACK!

Any ways, without further delay, here is my project!  It's a 12 x 12 Shadow Box Frame.

PicsArt_12-01-07.07.36

-  The background is a 12 x 12" piece of Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper (unfortunately, now sold out... sorry.  I know, I'm sad too).

-  There are 6 pieces of 3-1/4 x 3-1/4" pieces of Polished Pink Card stock and one (1) piece at 3-1/4 x 10-1/4.

-  There are 6 pieces of Whimsy & Wonder DSP 3-1/8 x 3-1/8" and one (1) at 3-1/8 x 10-1/8.  I used all different patterns.

  • top row:
    • 1st square:  tree & words stamps done in Mint Macaron on Basic White CS.  Silver Tree accent die cut from Silver Foil
    • 2nd square:  tree die cut Mint Macaron CS, Silver Foil for tree deco die and bulbs stamped in Memento Black ink on Basic white, die cut and colored with Blends.  Rhinestone for accent.
    • 3rd square:  Tree dies... I cut 3 of each size from DSP and Silver Foil.
  • middle:
    • Blushing Bride ribbon (sold out).  Two 4" pieces.  Skinny tree stamped in Mint Macaron on Basic White CS and die cut, then adorned with rhinestones
    • MERRY CHRISTMAS die cut with Playful Alphabet Dies using Polished Pink CS
  • bottom row:
    • 1st square:  Blushing Bride CS behind tree die cut with Scalloped Contour Dies.  Tree stamped in Mint Macaron on Basic White CS.  Tree detail die cut on Silver Foil
    • 2nd square:  adhered a Wonder Snowflake (so pretty with them being iridescent)
    • 3rd square:  used Stitched Rectangle dies to cut Blushing Bride and Basic White CS.  Stamped words in Mint Macaron

I adhered most of the decorative trees, labels, words with Dimensionals and also added Basic Rhinestones where I felt they would fit.  I hope you like this project as much as I do!

Next let's buzzzz on over to see what Dana Davis has in store for everyone.  Don't forget you can buzzzz on back to see Linda Bauwin's design!

We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop - Designer Series Paper

BeeBlogHopOpeningIcon

Welcome to this month's blog hop featuring Designer Series Paper (DSP).  If you are not familiar with the Stampin' Up! term DSP, it is our 12x12" patterned paper.  All our paper coordinates with our colors and most times, with a stamp, punch or die cut set.  One of my favorite DSP stacks is a specialty DSP because of the foil on the images called Peaceful Place.  This paper is full of silver foil and is all black, white and gray.  Let's take a look at my card.

I have done this style card in the past and it a favorite to show off both sides of the designer series paper.  The DSP is what flips open which you will see in the second photo below.

PicsArt_11-01-06.52.39

PicsArt_11-01-06.54.54

It is hard to capture the foil on the trees so here is another angle.  The trees are die cut from a sheet of the Peaceful Place specialty DSP that is a dark gray (basic gray) and has silver and white splotches all over it.  When I die cut the tress, I think it makes it look like they have snow on them.

PicsArt_11-01-07.35.33

Card Details:

  • Card base is a piece of Basic White 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
  • Layer a piece of Basic Black that is 4-1/8 x 5-3/8 on top of Basic White
  • DSP is 4 x 10-1/2 then scored at 5-1/4
    • Tip:  I cut a 4 x 12 piece of DSP, folded it in half then cut that folded piece to 4 x 5-1/4"
    • Tip:  watch the direction of the inside (opposite side) pattern
    • fold on score and adhere on top of Basic Black
    • stamp greeting
    • adhere a couple of sequins
  • For the inside, cut a piece Basic White to 3-3/4 x 5
    • Stamp your sentiment in Memento Black a little towards the top
    • Cut strip of DSP 1 x 3-3/4 and adhere to bottom on white
    • Die cut 3 trees from Cabin Dies and add

I think the last step adds so much to the inside.  I love adding an element like that, where you die cut Designer Series Paper for extra detail to the cut images.  My full list of supplies are below for easy reference and shopping.

Well, I hope you like my card project and you will join us for our next Blog Hop on December 1, 2021.

One Sheet Wonder - Delicate Dahlias Sale-a-Bration Set

Our 2nd Sale-a-Bration (SAB) is under way and there are so many great things, especially with the July-August Mini (holiday) catalog releasing as well.

Here is a One Sheet Wonder I made with the SAB stamp set called "Delicate Dahlias".  It is a 2-Step stamp set meaning, the is an outline and filler stamp.  Of course, I had to make them in my favorite color purple or in this case, Gorgeous Grape and Fresh Fressia.

So I randomly stamped a full sheet of 8-1/2 x 11 Basic White Card Stock.  Below in my supply list you can see the colors I used or you can watch my video.  (Well, I will tell you I used several colors... Gorgeous Grape, Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sea Foam, and Soft Succulent).

Let's take a look at how the sheet looked before I cut is up.

Delicate Dahlias Background

Cutting your stamped background:

  • cut at 4-1/4" on the 8-1/2" side ending with two long strips that are 4-1/2 x 11"
  • turn and cut those two long strips at 5-1/2" (that will be the 11" side)
  • you will now have 4 pieces of quarter sheet card stock (or 4 pieces at 4-1/4 x 5-1/2")

Next:

  • trim 2 pieces above to 4 x 5-1/4" (see below cards 5 & 6)
  • cut 1 of the quarter sheets in half on the 5-1/2" side (end up with 2 pieces at 2-3/4 x 4-1/4).  See cards 3 & 4
  • cut last quarter sheet in half at 2-1/8 on the short side (end up with 2 pieces 2-1/8 x 5-1/4).  See cards 1 & 2
  • Using Contour Dies, die cut six labels in Gorgeous Grape an six small ones in Basic Basic
  • All card bases are Gorgeous Grape so you will need 3 sheets of card stock cut in half at 5-1/5 on the 11" side

Cards 1 & 2:

PicsArt_08-08-05.01.07

Background of Fresh Freesia card stock cut 4-1/8 x 5-3/8 and embossed with the New Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder.  I added some Brushed Metallic Dots to both cards and some Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon and White 3/8 Glittered Organdy Ribbon.  Labels are popped with Dimensionals.

Cards 3 & 4:

PicsArt_08-08-05.07.48

I put a mat of Fresh Freesia behind stamped dahlias that is 3 x 4-1/2 for each card.  You will need two pieces of the Gold 6x6 Metallic Specialty Paper cut to 4 x 5-1/4".  Add Gorgeous Grape sheer ribbon around Fresh Freesia, tie a knot then add to card with Dimensionals.  Add labels with adhesive on top and Dimensionals on the bottom.  Because it hands off the dahlia piece, you want the label to be flush.

Cards 5 & 6:

PicsArt_08-08-05.08.02

These are easy peasy!  Adhere your 4 x 5-1/4 stamped pieces to card base.  Add some ribbon if you would like (I used a piece of the new Gold Shimmer Ribbon left over from another project).  Add labels with adhesive or Dimensionals.  Two quick and easy cards.
