A Unique Fold Birthday Card

Hello there ~ and welcome to my blog.

It's my birthday today!  And I received this awesome card in the mail from my fabulous upline, Linda Bauwin.  I love the unique pleated fold panel, giving the card a lot of character.  You can see Linda's blog on this here

We celebrated my birthday, as usual, on Father's Day.  It was born on Father's Day and dad and I are extremely close so I never mind sharing the day with him.

This card features the Flowering Zinnias 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP).  If I had to guess, the flower patterned paper is 4" x 7" and scored every 1/2" on the 7" side.  The folds are held down with Stampin' Dimensionals to give each fold some height.  (I went to Linda's blog and those are the correct measurements).

Card base is Old Olive card stock (CS) and the background and flower DSP pieces are matted with Granny Apple Green.  GAG is one of my favorite colors too.

The sentiment and scalloped oval are from the Unbounded Love Bundle.

The card is finished off with flowers using Berry Burst  card stock and the Petal Park Builder Punch, 2024-2026 In Color Glimmer paper and Iridescent Foil Gems.

Thank you for letting me share!

Before I go, just a reminder that until June 30, 2024, stamp bundles are an EXTRA 10% off as well as our die cut machines.

Delicate Forest Pop Window Pane Card

I am too excited to share this card made with the Delicate Forest Bundle from the Jan-April 2024 Mini Catalog.

#creativecardcloset #delicateforest 2

I did a standard Basic Black card base.  Then, cut another piece of Basic Black at 5-1/4 x 5-1/2 for the Pop Window Pane.  Here is how I scored:

Pop Window Pane Card

  • The two outer score lines are valley (in) folds and the two inner score lines will be mountain (out) folds.
  • The background is Basic White cut 4-1/8 x 5-3/8 and colored with Blending Brushes and ink colors, Balmy Blue, Pool Party, and Pretty Peacock.
  • The images are Heated Embossed with Gold powder.
  • The butterfly is from the Paper Butterfly Accents, covered in VersaMark ink and then Gold Embossed

Here is a side view to see more of the dimension.  Click on the image to enlarge.

Using Your 6x6 Designer Paper

Hello!  And thanks for stopping by.

Do you hate cutting into a 6 x 6 designer series paper stack or 12 x 12 for that matter?  Do you find your saving paper, or wish you could show more?  Well, I have a solution for you!

Here's another fall project share featuring the All About Autumn suite collection.  I am gone to show you how to show off as much of a piece of 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper.  So now you don't have to be so worried about cutting that 12 x 12 or using up your 6x 6 papers.

Look at that shining foil!

Here's how the card opens... and how it shows off just about a full piece of 6 x 6 DSP!

So I did not notice when I took the photo, but the plain white rectangle looks like it is attached to the front rectangle, but it is not.  The black mat rectangle and the inside white are the same size.  If that area is not large enough for your sentiment, don't be afraid to put a piece of white on the back of your card.

#allaboutautumn #stampwithlisabrown #fold

  • The card base is 5-1/5 x 8-1/2 and scored at 2-1/8 and 4-1/4
  • 6 x 6 DSP is cut down to 5-3/8 x 6 and the cut into 2" strips.
  • Another piece of DSP (the one with foil) is 2 x 5-3/8

I think I'm going to adapt this multiple paneled card for Christmas!  I have lots of DSP to share.

Here is a list of supplies I used:

Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper

Inked Botanicals 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper

This one was a surprise for me... it is so much prettier in person than what I saw in the catalog or in my Online Store.  It can coordinate with so much, but in the catalog, it is a part of a collection called Inked Botanicals Suite Collection.

In my project, I paired it up with the Dainty Delight stamps and dies:

#stampwithlisabrown #inkedbotanicals #cardfront

#stampwithlisabrown #inkedbotanicals #top #stampwithlisabrown #inkedbotanicals #inside
Here are the basics:

  • Calypso Coral card base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 and scored at 1-1/2" and 5-3/4"
  • Calypso Coral CS square is 3 x 3
  • Inked Botanicals DSP:  you need 1 each:  1-3/8 x 5-3/8; 2-5/8 x 5-3/8; and 2-7/8 x 7-2/8

The DSP has a core color of Very Vanilla so that is what I used to stamp the flowers on and for the inside.  I used scrap DSP on the inside to carry the theme over.

Country Lazy Days

I couldn't help it!  I could not help combining the Countryside Inn Suite and the Lazy Days Bundle together.

My project just reminds me of the weather we are having here now in Ohio.  Warm days and a little cooler evenings.  Perfect for sitting on the front porch or back deck and enjoying the view.

Porch

Sometimes there's just nothing better at the end of a long day.

So I used the Lazy Days Bundle, combined with the Countryside Inn Suite to create a split card.

My Night of Navy Card Stock:

  • Base is 4-1/4 x 11.  Scored at 5-1/2" then I cut down to 4-1/4 x 7
  • With left overs, cut a piece to 1-1/2 x 4-1/4
  • You will also need 3 x 4-3/4 pieces for the label

Balmy Blue Card Stock mats are 1-3/8 x 4-1/8 and you need two pieces. And 1 x 2-3/4 for the trellis.

DSP:  two pieces 1-1/4 x 4 and for the inside, 4 x 5-1/4

I used Blending Brushes and Stampin' Blends alcohol markers to color the flower pots.

Just a reminder:  DESIGNER SERIES PAPER SALE is happening now until end of the month (June 2023)
