My project today features the Window Wishes Bundle and the fabulous Snowflake 12 x 12 Specialty Vellum!

20221201_200850

For the bag:

  • 2 pieces of specialty vellum cut at a 10" square
  • Score 3 sides at 2-1/2" and the last side at 1-1/4"
  • Fold each scored line and give it a good crease using a bone folder.  It will really help with the vellum
  • Holding the scored vellum in front of you:
    • fold the 1-1/4 line toward you and glue down (makes the top flap)
    • snip off the bottom left and bottom right squares leaving the middle flap
    • all the 2-1/2 scored lines get folded back
    • do this to both 10" squares
  • Adhere the two 10" pieces together.  Side flaps first an then the bottom.

Here a side angle picture.

20221201_200914

The window/candles/wreath are all made with the Window Wishes Bundle.

A couple of tips:

  • Use a  Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker to add dots of berries to the wreath.
  • I cut the two window dies with Basic White card stock but then also cut the inner die again with Basic Black cardstock.
  • I inserted the black negative pieces to give a solid background.

Another Tip:  when making the bag and using vellum, the 1-1/4" top flap will show the dull side of the vellum.  I took left over strips of the specialty vellum paper and adhered to the four flap sides.  I used 2 pieces of 1-1/8" x 2-3/8" and 2 pieces of 1-1/8" x 4-7/8".  Colored card stock would also look nice.

Because the vellum is a thicker material, it does not show the Stampin' Seal+ adhesive used to hold the bag together!

I hope you like my project now....

Curvy Christmas

Need a few last minute Christmas cards?  This was comes together super quick and I bet you could make about ten or so in a half hour.  Just use my dimensions.

Time saving tip... cut everything in batches and cut two pieces of cardstock or designer series paper at a time.  Stampin' Up! Paper Trimmer can definitely do that.

I design my card, deciding exactly how I want it to look then cut all my card bases.  Next I will cut all the background paper or designer series paper (DSP), then any other little bits.  I put everything in stacks and work each stack, one at a time.  This way I am doing all my embossing at once, then all my die cutting at once, and stamping.  Make an assembly line.  It will make things move quicker.

PicsArt_11-06-12.29.26

Card Details:

  • Card base is Thick Whisper White card stock cut 5-1/2" x 8-1/2"
    • remember to score the Thick White at 4-1/4" before folding in half
  • DSP cut 3-1/2" x 5-1/4" and adhere to card base
  • Whisper White CS cut to 3-1/2 x 5-1/4" then die cut with Curvy Die
  • Stamp lines of stars in Crushed Curry and words in Cherry Cobbler on above piece then adhere
  • Wrap a piece of ribbon around front flap, add a bow and your down

Easy Peasy!

Blue Shimmery Poinsettia

I don't know about you, but I cannot get enough of the Poinsettia Petals Bundle or the entire product suite called Poinsettia Place.  When you want to make the traditional red flowers or go with another color, I do not think it will look bad.

I also love mixing up product suite items and making my own combinations.  In my Blue Shimmery Poinsettia card, I did just that.  I combined the Poinsettia Petals bundle with items from the Snowflake Splendor Suite collection.  Let's take a look...

PicsArt_11-29-12.34.00

Again, using the Poinsettia Petals bundle for the flower and sprigs, the Designer Series Paper, blue gems, ribbon and Balmy Blue  Glimmer paper are all from the Snowflake Splendor product suite.

The Creative Fold idea on this one did come from Linda Bauwin over at Stamping with Linda.  She is my fabulous upline who has been a Demonstrator for over 23 years.  She is awesome!

Card Details:

  • 3 pieces of Balmy Blue Card Stock:
      • 2 x 4"
      • 4-1/4 x 5-1/2"
      • 2-5/8 x 3-7/8"
  • 2 pieces of Whisper White Card Stock
      • 4 x 8"
      • 4-1/2 x 5-1/2"
  • 2 pieces of Designer Series Paper
      • 1-7/8 x 3-3/8"
      • 2-1/2 x 3-3/4"
  • Blue Glimmer Paper 4 x 5"
  • a Beaded Pearl and some Blue Adhesive Backed Gems
  1. score the Balmy Blue CS 2 x 4" piece at 1/2" on long side
  2. adhere DSP 1-7/8 x 3-3/8" piece to above Balmy Blue
  3. take the 4 x 8" Whisper White CS and score at 5-1/4 on the 8" side.  This will form your card base
  4. take the 2 x 4" Balmy Blue piece and adhere the 1/2" scored parts to back side of Whisper White from step 3.  This will create your flap.  Make sure your DSP is facing forward.
  5. adhere the 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Balmy Blue CS to the 4 x 8 Whisper White.  Fold & just hold the smaller flap of the Whisper White so you can center over the Balmy Blue card stock.
  6. adhere the 2-1/2 x 3-3/4" piece of DSP on the Whisper White flap so when flap closed, you will see the DSP
  7. stamp 3 sizes of poinsettias in Night of Navy in on the 4-1/2 x 5-1/2" Whisper White.  Die cut them out
  8. Die cut 5 sprigs out of the Balmy Blue Glimmer paper

-  To add extra sparkle to my poinsettia flower, I put some rubbing alcohol and several drops of Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint into a Spritzer.  Shake the spritzer to mix the alcohol and paint.  Heavily spritz all the petals.  While still damp, I pinched all the petals on the petals center line.  You can really scrunch them up, just depends on what you like.

-  I then used my Heat Tool to help dry them quickly.  Adhere all the petals together with Dimensionals or Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Add a Beaded Pearl to the center.

-  Before adhering to our card, add the Balmy Blue Glimmer Springs to the back and a couple of pieces of Snowflake Splendor Ribbon to finish it all off.

****When adhering your poinsettia to your card,  make sure you use Dimensionals and on the left side of your flower.  Your flap needs to tuck under the right side of your flower to hold your card closed.

Lastly, don't forget about the Blue Adhesive backed Gems!

Cute Adorable Gnomes for Christmas

Hi creative friends... I am excited to share some adorable cards with you.  Apparently I have a soft spot for gnomes!  Who knew?

The "Gnome For The Holidays" stamp set is just so stinkin' cute!  Here are some quick and easy cards for you to copy and share.  I usually do not get so excited over whimsical stamp sets.  I think it is that little girl gnome with the tree on her head.  Just makes me chuckle.

PicsArt_11-27-04.08.08

  • Card bases are in Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce.
  • Layer of Designer Series paper is 4 x 5-1/4"  (from Classic Christmas 6x6 DSP stack and Christmas Tiding but that one is sold out)
  • I stamped my Gnomes & words in Black Memento ink on a piece of Whisper White measuring 3 x 4
  • Color images with Stampin' Blends Alcohol marks
  • Add Whisper White to card with Dimensionals
    • Little Girl Gnome Blends colors: Shaded Spruce, Mango Melody, Seaside Spray, Cherry Cobbler, Bronze & Ivory
    • Bottom Left Gnome Blends colors:  Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, Ivory, Bronze, Seaside Spray, Pool Party.  Add some Wink of Stella Glitter marker to his hat and ornament
    • Middle Gnome Blends colors:  Mango Melody, Seaside Spray, Shaded Spruce, Ivory, Soft Suede
    • Bottom Right Gnome Blends colors:  Flirty Flamingo, Basic Gray, Ivory, Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce, Seaside Spray, Mango Melody

Tip 1:  Use your imagination when coloring your Gnomes.  Give them lots of color to make them look fun and happy.

Tip 2:  Use the side of the Blends marker brush tip to add some color over words or add some 'ground' underneath and around their feet.

I really hope you like these little guys, and girl!  Again, this is such an adorable set:
