Gold Embossed Dragonfly Garden

Do you know what I like most about the Dragonfly Garden Bundle?  Its the Dragonfly Punch... I love that there are two sizes of dragonflies and the little one is just a great size.

But, okay, well there are two things I really like about this bundle.  The other is the wildflower stamp. This card makes me think of a big open field of wildflowers on a warm summer's night.  As the sun is setting, you look over top the flowers and can see all the little critters flitting around in the sunset light.

My Dragonfly Garden card is relatively easy, but with all the Gold Embossing and the Brass Foil Sheets, I do not think it needed much fanfare in card design.

In Bloom Bundle

Do you like flowers as much as I do?  I have something a little different for you.

Whether in the ground, sitting in a vase or made from paper... I just simply love flowers.  Any kind too!   The funny thing is, if I have a preference... I prefer roses in my garden (I have 6 beautiful rose plants) but I do not prefer roses in an arrangement.  I love my arrangements to be a mix of daisies, daffodils, carnations, Gerber daisies, hydrangeas, eucalyptus, sprays, etc.   They just bring a smile to my face.

I received these tulips about 2 weeks ago.  And purple!!!  Boy, does this person know me or what?

PicsArt_03-09-01.07.40

I wanted to share the "IN BLOOM BUNDLE" with you.  These 21 unique stamps and 25 dies have several different floral patterns, almost like we have not offered before.  I know what you are saying, Stampin' up! offers a lot of floral stamps and dies.  But I think these are just a little unique, so let's take a look, also at how pretty these cards came out.  Look at all the color.   You can make single floral cards or a full bouquet!  Possibilities are just about endless.

BeeBlogHopOpeningIcon

Welcome to our March Blog Hop - Marching Into Spring

It's coming... it's finally coming!  Have you ever been so excited to see spring coming more than this year?  I, for one, feel like winter has lasted forever and that we have been locked inside since I don't know when.  I am sure its likely because, this month, we will be in what I call Covid mode, for a year.  Spring to me is new life, renewal, fresh air, bright colors, flowers and more.  Bring it on!

For my Marching Into Spring project, I chose to combine a few of my favorite products.  The NEW (starts March 2, 2021) Butterfly Bouquet, the Forever Fern Bundle, and semi-new Many Messages Bundle.

Sale-A-Bration Last Minute Inspiration

Here is some more Sale-a-Bration Inspiration from cards I received from some teammates.  I have linked all the products used below for quick reference and a quick shopping link to my store.  ewe... sorry about that photo, I guess that's what I get when I'm in a hurry. LOL!

PicsArt_02-23-06.32.52

I love how the background was stamped right on the card base.  On the two Bermuda Bay cards, there is no extra layer except for the Oh So Ombre Free Sale-a-Bration Paper, then a simple label.

Now the center card takes it up a notch... still having a stamped background directly on the card base; which by the way, is Crumb Cake.  There is then a layer of the Rococo Rose Oh So Ombre SAB paper, with some splotches of ink, a rub of ink in the middle done with the Blending Brushes, then a White Embossed floral element.

I love how creative my teammates are!  And so glad we share projects with each other for inspiration

A Touch of Ink

Sale-a-Bration:  getting rewarded for your purchases.  Who couldn't ask for a better deal!  For every $50 in product purchased from the Annual or Mini catalogs, you receive a Free Sale-a-Bration item.

Sale-a-Bration (SAB) end on February 28, 2021 so I am highlighting all things SAB from now until then.  I think this was my favorite set of projects so why not highlight them first.   These card features two fan favorites, Oh So Ombre 6x6 Designer Series Paper Stack and the stamp set, A Touch of Ink

There are 2 Levels of SAB... $50 earns and $100 earns.  Oh So Ombre is Free with a $50 purchase and A Touch of Ink is Free with a $100 purchase.  I have to say, this stamp set have a TON of stamps in it and it is 2-step stamping (outline & filler images).  Very cool.   So let's take a look.

PicsArt_02-09-10.29.52

Colors of Oh So Ombre DSP:  Blackberry Bliss, Granny Apple Green, Rococo Rose, and Bermuda Bay.

ALL gorgeous colors!  Here is a closure view of the individually:

  • Card Base:  Thick Basic White 5-1/2 x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4 on the long side.  Make sure to pre-score the thick paper before you fold in half to prevent cracking.
  • Oh So Ombre DSP background:  4 x 5-1/4"
  • Solid card stock layer (in colors mentioned above):  3-1/4 x 4-3/4"
  • Basic White CS layer:  3 x 4-1/2"  (I made a mistake and cut mine to 3 x 4-1/4" but still used)
  • Inks are again in same colors as the Oh So Ombre paper and you will need Memento Basic Black
  • Stamp images onto Basic White piece, adhere to solid card stock and add to card with Dimensionals.

ALTERNATIVE:

If you look closely at my Blackberry Bliss card, I stamped the butterfly and leaves on the Basic White just like all the other cards.  Then I stamped them again on some scrap Basic White CS, fussy cut out the butterfly and a couple of the leaves, then added the fussy cut pieces with Dimensionals.
