I want to be on this beach!

Hello! I hope your summer is going well.

The weather so far, has been very warm and humid here in NE Ohio. So today's card share is a great display of where I would like to be... which is sitting in that red chair!

This project has little stamping, blending with brushes and markers, and some die cutting.

using Blending Brushes, apply Pecan Pie, Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight inks to the front and inside pieces
stamp seashells to front and sand castle on the inside using Pecan Pie ink
stamp words on outside and inside
on scrap basic white, stamp chair and umbrella with Memento black ink, color with Stampin' Blends (see colors below) and die cut
grass and palms where die cut with Mossy Meadow cardstock
tree truck is die cut using Crumb Cake cardstock
die cut sun with Daffodil Delight cardstock
adhere pieces to card front and use Dimensionals for the chair
stamp seagull now that your palm tree is in place

I love these stamps and dies... How fun to make this into a Christmas card too!

Creative Uses For Designer Series Paper

Today I am showing some creative uses for Designer Series Paper (DSP). Stampin' Up! has some amazing DSP collections, from florals and animals, to geometric patterns. There scenic papers are fabulous if that's your style, such as the New Thoughtful Journey DSP.

I recently participated in a card challenge, and these are some of the great projects fellow demonstrators submitted. These first three samples were submitted by Pat Bowman, Marsha Pappalardo and Judy Getty:

What a great sampling of uses with embossing folders, punches and strips of designer paper. These give me so many great ideas and I hope it does for you as well.

A couple of my favorite Retiring Products

This is such an exciting time being with Stampin' Up! and here are all the reasons (to me) why :

The "Last Chance List" has been released. This is all items set to retire, products that won't be offer in the new catalog with the 10% bundle savings, pricing changes and a few other things. The "Last Chance List" also offers some discounted items.

NOTE: I apologize that I used already Retired DSP (the gingham patterned papers in both my examples)

I love everything STARRY SKY but it is a 2022-2-24 In Color and is going away, along with PARAKEET PARTY (green). I just love how the blueberries came out with this color. Ribbon, embellishments, papers and ink are selling out fast! I'm happy to say the Blueberry Bunches stamp set is carrying over.

I hardly got to enjoy this one! I failed to use last summer and now the So Refreshing Bundle is going away. I think I might keep this one in my private stash. LOL!

You Make My Heart Buzz

This cute card was a Free Make-n-Take!

Hello there. And thank you for stopping by. Yes, I did a Free Make-n-Take card at a recent event where I was a vendor. I normally do that so people can see how easy it is to create a card in just a short time. Make sure to check out my calendar for upcoming events and classes.

I am happy as the bee in my below project... but a little sad too. Why?

Well, our Last Chance Sale started and running through the end of April 2024. I am happy because the Bee Builder Punch and Bee My Valentine Photopolymer stamp set are both carrying over into the new 2024-2025 Annual Catalog.

So why am I sad? Because the stamp set and punch will only bee (lol!) sold separately... meaning no bundle discount AND the Bee Mine 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper will retired along with the Hearts & Flowers Embellishments. So that means that suite collection will be gone.

Let's take a look at this little Bee Card...

I used Daffodil Delight for my card base and stamped the honeycombs all around the edges of the card.
Stamped my sentiment in the bottom left of Basic White CS measuring 3-3/4 x 5
Layered two pieces of the Bee Mine DSP measuring 2 x 3
Use a Dimensional to pop up the bee that was stamped & punched from Daffodil Delight CS, add a flower embellishment to finish it off

I've been a Demonstrator for 13 Years

I received this awesome card from my upline, Linda Bauwin.

She used the Brushed Gold Cards & Envelopes (a favorite product of mine) and embossed the card front and envelope flap with an embossing folder. Just love the simplicity of this card but the brushed gold card base gives it a wow factor.

Beautiful card made with Poetic Expressions Suite

One of favorite suites in the January-April 2024 mini catalog is called Poetic Expressions. And believe it or not, it is not because of the stamp set. The designer series paper and dies are what sets this suite apart for me. The paper is gorgeous and not only do the dies cut out stamped images, but it has the most amazing label dies! Two different shapes at that.

I think this is a simply beautiful card that would be easy to create in multiples. Lets take a look...
