More Forever Greenery Cards and a Twist of a Jar!

Hi everyone!  So here are a couple more of card projects using the Forever Greenery Bundle.  These have a couple of elements to them that I just love!

I used a piece of Gold Fern from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Designer Series Paper, a Gold Hoop Embellishment, another piece of the gold laser-cut SDSP... look at the background, inside the gold hoop, some vellum, embossing folder... so many great things.  I detailed it out below.

Here is a great close-up of that center design:

  • Card base:  Blackberry Bliss Card Stock cut 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4 on the long side
  • Whisper White Card Stock layer cut 4-1/8 x 5-3/8.  Adhere to card base
  • Just Jade Card Stock cut 4 x 5-1/4 and embossed with the Greenery Embossing Folder.  Adhere on top of Whisper White
  • Die cut two sprigs from Forever Flourishing dies out of Vellum
  • Cut down a large Gold Fern from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut SDSP
  • Punch a 2 inch circle piece out of the Gold Mesh Rectangle from the Forever Gold Laser-cut SDSP
  • Layer and adhere mesh, gold hoop, sprigs and gold fern with Glue Dots
  • Add bow with ribbon from the product suite.  Ribbon combo pack is called Forever Greenery Trim.
  • Thinking of You stamped in Blackberry Bliss on Whisper White CS
  • Die cut words with banner die from Tasteful Label Dies

I told you in a previous post that I was just okay with the product suite, but it has turned out, it is one that I really like.  So here is a final (well, maybe...LOL!) card project I wanted to share.

  • Card base is Just Jade Card stock cut 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4 on the long side
  • Another piece of Just Jade CS cut 4-1/4 x 5-3/8 and embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder
  • Adhere to card front

  • Lay down the Gold Fern an adhere to Just Jade embossed piece

  • Using the Jar Punch, punch Just Jade and Gold Foil Mesh and adhere together
  • Use Gold cording from product suite and wrap several times about neck of jar and tie off with a knot.

A Red Sunflower... I think it works

Hey everyone!  I hope this finds you doing well.  I feel like I am still adjusting to this whole Covid-19 pandemic even though it's been over two months already.  Here in Ohio, most things are reopening with restrictions but you know what, I am not rushing out there!  Are you?

Any way, who would have thought to use Real Red ink for the sunflower. Do you think it works?

But boy, do you see that background?  I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the New In Good Taste Designer Series PaperCLICK HERE to get a closer look, or look below in my supply list.  The paper is real photographs of stone walls, wall and flooring tiles, wood plank tiles, and Spackle canvas' with a splash of color, all turned into 12 x 12 scrapbook paper.

Also, check out the Product Suite "In Good Taste".  It is a must see collection.

Onto today's card project, here it is, featuring the CELEBRATE SUNFLOWERS BUNDLE:

Pressed Petals Paper - I'm Going To Miss You!

I have a last minute post!  I did these projects on a Facebook Live a couple of weeks ago and to my surprise, the video disappeared.  Ugh, technology... or is it the user?  Ha! Ha!

Any way, I wanted to photograph and get these posted so you can see each card project has a main focal piece from one (yes, just one) sheet of the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I was able to make 9 cards from that one sheet.   The Specialty DSP is retiring tonight at midnight if you still wanted to get your hands on this beautiful paper, you can Shop Now

A few other items that I used is the Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape (also retiring), the Timeless Label Punch, Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla, and Merry Merlot card stock, and Dimensionals.   (the Leaf Punch is already gone but you could substitute with the Sprig Punch).  The Glitter Enamel Dots are also retiring and still available.  I used on some flower centers.

  • All card bases are standard 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
  • Cut one sheet of DSP from Pressed Petals DSP pack and follow those measurements (see below)
  • Cut layers 1/4" larger for smaller pieces.  For example, if cut DSP is 4 x 4, cut mat 4-1/4 x 4-1/4
  • For DSP pieces that are almost a full frontal piece, if you to mat with card stock, cut CS to 5-3/8" x 4-1/8"
  • Embellish how you would like

Below is a great picture of the One Sheet of paper I used from the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP pack.  Just cut the long 12" strip of pink and white daisies off first.  Then you can cut up each of the seven remaining pieces to use on your card fronts.  That 12" strip... I made two cards with it! the way, Pressed Petals is available as in below picture in an entire PRODUCT SUITE (retires tonight!).

I hope you enjoy!

Ornate Garden Suite - Part 2

Just a bit ago, I shared three projects with you using the Ornate Garden Suite of products.  If you missed that post, CLICK HERE to catch my "Introduction" to the suite.  I show you everything that is included in the entire suite in my video, and there are a ton of goodies.

I have to tell you, when I first received my suite of products, I thought to myself, "man.... there is a lot going on in here!".  Detailed dies, stamp sets, paper, ribbon, and more.  And that is why I have decided to break this down into a few posts.  So again, be sure to catch my introduction by going to the above link.

In my first project below, I love how Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam compliment each other.    The details from the Ornate Layers Dies add such an elegance.  I added a layer of Whisper White in the middle to add some interest by breaking up the colors.   Oh Darn!  I should have ran that white through the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing folder (included in product suite)...  Or even the bottom layer of Soft Sea Foam.

Look.... the possibilities are endless and I am still designing in my head!

Mint Macaron is the card base (5-1/2 x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4) and then I just alternated the colored layers using Ornate Layers Dies.  The piece of Whisper White in between the layers measures 3-3/8 x 2-1/8.  The 'Thanks' is from Ornate Thanks stamp set and stamped in Mint Macaron on Whisper White that is 2-1/4 x 1" with rounded corners.

In order not to bog down my blog, the following pictures are just shown smaller in size.  Click on them and they will POP Open so you see better

Above:  Soft Sea Foam card base. Ornate Garden DSP cut 5-1/4 x 4.  The Gold Foil, Soft Sea Foam and Whisper White pieces are all cut with dies from the Ornate Layers Die. "So Grateful" is from Orante Thanks stamp set and inked in Soft Sea Foam.

Sorry about the 'shine' or light reflection in some pictures.  I want to make sure you can see the Gold Foil in the Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper

Above card (don't forget to click the image to see better):

  • Mint Marcaron card base and layer dies
  • Ornate Garden DSP cut 5-1/4 x 4
  • two pieces Gold Foil cut to 4-3/4 x 3-1/2 and 3-7/16 x 2-1/16
  • ALT IDEA:  could have ran both Gold Foil pieces through with Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder (included in product suite)

So Grateful card:

  • I used Thick Very Vanilla card base on this one... I don't mind it. (DSP is white based but this design has so much color)
  • Layer of Ornate Garden DSP is 5-1/4 x 4
  • Terracotta Tile card stock die cut and popped up with dimensionals
  • Top piece of Very Vanilla is 3-7/16 x 2-1/16
  • Words stamped in Terracotta Tile
  • New Gilded Gems for bling (included in Ornate Garden Suite)

Well, I know my samples are just the tip of the iceberg!  I am going to continue to play and creating with this product suite for a long time.  Check out my video as I walk you through these cards.
