Lighter Than Air Suite Collection

Have you see the Lighter Than Air Suite Collection in the 2024 January - April Mini Catalog?

Let's take a look at all these fabulous ideas that Stampin' Up! has given us.  They have incorporated a few others items such as the Square Pillow Boxes and the Basic Borders Dies.

Below, a shaker card was created with the balloon frame die and Foam Adhesive Strips.  Then filled with Loose Silver Sequins!

The next project just makes me close my eyes and imagine being in the balloon, floating through the sky with the most amazing sunset.   Using our Watercolor paper and Water brushes, the sky background is Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight.   Using Stampin' Dimensionals behind one of the cloud dies and the larger, detailed hot air balloon, really makes them just off the card.  I just love this one.

The Lighter Than Air DSP is soft and pretty!  You can use this designer series paper for so many occasions.

Flowering Zinnias Gratitude Card

Flowering Zinnias - New Online Exclusive Items

Fabulous... this is the most fabulous collection of items to make beautiful projects with.

I have always had a love for flowers, and not just your usual admiration, but knowing a little more.  I have to say, I knew nothing about the Zinnia flower!  So I read up on this one and here's what I found at www.flowermeaning.com:

  1. Did you know the zinnia was names after a botanist, Dr. Zinn so guess what.... NO Latin name no one can pronounce
  2. The flower shape can be dome shaped with many petal layers or more simplistic, resembling a daisy
  3. Hummingbirds and butterflies are both drawn to the flower
  4. The blooms can be as small as 1" in diameter or up to 7".  I would love to see a 7" bloom.
  5. Stalks can grow up to 4 feet tall !!!
  6. Here are some color meanings:
    1. yellow:  daily remembrance
    2. white:  pure goodness
    3. magenta:  lasting affection
    4. red:  of the heart, steadfastness, familial ties, like the stead beating of a heart
    5. mixed:  thinking of an absent friend

Here is my card I created...

I had so much fun making this card.  It was like putting a puzzle together.  I chose my colors, die cut several pieces from a variety of dies and just started piecing them together.

My card base is Blackberry Bliss along with the background to the flower and matting for words (stamped in Blackberry Bliss).   All colors of card stock and items can be found below in the product list.   I hope you liked this one.

I received this awesome card from my upline, Linda Bauwin.

She used the Brushed Gold Cards & Envelopes (a favorite product of mine) and embossed the card front and envelope flap with an embossing folder.  Just love the simplicity of this card but the brushed gold card base gives it a wow factor.

We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop Springing Forward

HOP cover

Welcome to our Team Blog Hop!

This month we are springing forward.  For most of us, we are in a region of what is suppose to be cold and snow.  This year (oh don't let me jinx it) has been a mild season to say the least.  And I don't know about you, but it just makes me more anxious and excited for spring to come.

One of spring's beautiful blooms is Lavender.  I had a lavender bush at my house for over 20 years and loved the smell in the springtime.  So that is what I am featuring today; product from The Perennial Lavender product suite (I used the Painted Lavender Bundle, Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper and Purple Fine Shimmer Gems).

It is a Double Opening Card:  there is a front flap with a sentiment underneath along with the sentiment on the inside of the card.

#stampwithlisabrown #perenniallavender

#stampwithlisabrown #perenniallavender1

#stampwithlisabrown #perenniallavender2

  • This is made with a standard card base in Lost Lagoon
  • The flap piece measures 2-3/4 x 4-1/4" and scored at 1/2"
  • The white mat layer on the flap measures 2-5/8 x 3-5/8" (you will need two pieces)
  • Cut a piece of Lost Lagoon CS that is 2-3/4 x 3-3/4"
  • Large white mat on card front is 4-1/8 x 5-3/8"
  • Large white mat on inside of card is 4 x 5-1/4"
  • DSP on card front is 4 x 5-1/4"

I used Lost Lagoon ink along, with Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape.

Have fun in making different bouquets of lavender as there are several different dies in this set.

Now let's check out what my team members have to share with us.  First up is Karen Burke, but don't forget you can go back to Linda Bauwin!
