Quick and Easy Background Technique
02/20/2024
I have a great share today on creating a quick and colorful background. It is so easy and I don't know why I do not do this more with my card projects.
All you need are two or three ink colors and Blending Brushes. As you can see in the photo below, it looks like a hot mess after color is applied to basic white card stock. But start adding stamps, die cut images and embellishments, and boy it comes to together in a cool way.
The hot air balloon card is Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight inks blended onto basic white, so just two colors for that one. The stamp bundle is called Hot Air Balloon, but there is a whole product Suite called Lighter Than Air that is worth checking out. The final touch for the pictured project is adding some Iridescent Foil Gems.
The other card was created by blending three inks onto basic white; Lost Lagoon, Azure Afternoon and Blackberry Bliss. Who would have thought about putting those all together! The stamps and dies are both called Rock Star. The final detail was taking our Water Painters and splashing the background with water.
One of the helpful parts of creating projects like these is using the New Glass Mat!
The clean up of the blending of colors and the spritz of water on the above two projects, is made so easy with the glass mat and cleaning cloth!!! I was amazed.
You can get the Glass Mat Now (includes silicone tray and cleaning cloth) until February 29, 2024 included in your starter kit when you Join My Team!
This is a Sale-a-Bration special and sold separately for $60 starting in March 2024.

***Want to know another perk of joining my team? The projects and technique shared today came from Stampin' Up! That's right, they share with us all the time and I am so grateful that they do.
