We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Watercolor Techniques

Welcome to We BEE Stamping Team Blog Hop.  July's theme is all about Watercolor Techniques.

BeeBlogHopOpeningIcon

I am so excited for this blog hop and to share some of our Watercolor Techniques.  Sometimes I forget to use these methods and products so it kind of rejuvenates me to make more cards with them!  So I got working and I have three cards to share with you.

1.)  Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens

#stampwithlisabrown #watercolorpencils

I stamped the floral images in Black Stazon ink, added color with colored pencils and then use my Blender Pens to spread out the color

2.)  Water Painters and Watercolor Paper

#stampwithlisabrown #waterbrushes

Using my Watercolor Paper and Water Painters, I spread ink covering the entire piece of paper.  I helped dry with my heat tool then stamped on the flowers and words with Stazon ink and Lemon Lime Twist ink for the petals.

3.)  Embossed image colored with Soft Pastels and Water Painters

#stampwithlisabrown #pastelchalk

#stampwithlisabrown #pastels

I heat embossed the flowers and words with Copper embossing powder.  Using my Water Painter, I swiped on the pastels to pick up color then painted the flowers.

The 2024-2025 Annual catalog is where you can find all the resources for all watercolor supplies .  Click the below image to download the catalog and refer to pages 118 and 119.

Creative Uses For Designer Series Paper

Hello, and welcome to my blog.

Today I am showing some creative uses for Designer Series Paper (DSP).  Stampin' Up! has some amazing DSP collections, from florals and animals, to geometric patterns.  There scenic papers are fabulous if that's your style, such as the New Thoughtful Journey DSP.

I recently participated in a card challenge, and these are some of the great projects fellow demonstrators submitted.   These first three samples were submitted by Pat Bowman, Marsha Pappalardo and Judy Getty:

Here's some quick links to some of the products used:

A Unique Fold Birthday Card

Hello there ~ and welcome to my blog.

It's my birthday today!  And I received this awesome card in the mail from my fabulous upline, Linda Bauwin.  I love the unique pleated fold panel, giving the card a lot of character.  You can see Linda's blog on this here

We celebrated my birthday, as usual, on Father's Day.  It was born on Father's Day and dad and I are extremely close so I never mind sharing the day with him.

This card features the Flowering Zinnias 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP).  If I had to guess, the flower patterned paper is 4" x 7" and scored every 1/2" on the 7" side.  The folds are held down with Stampin' Dimensionals to give each fold some height.  (I went to Linda's blog and those are the correct measurements).

Card base is Old Olive card stock (CS) and the background and flower DSP pieces are matted with Granny Apple Green.  GAG is one of my favorite colors too.

The sentiment and scalloped oval are from the Unbounded Love Bundle.

The card is finished off with flowers using Berry Burst  card stock and the Petal Park Builder Punch, 2024-2026 In Color Glimmer paper and Iridescent Foil Gems.

Thank you for letting me share!

Before I go, just a reminder that until June 30, 2024, stamp bundles are an EXTRA 10% off as well as our die cut machines.

Card Shares Featuring Lily Pond Lane

Hi there - and welcome to my blog.  Today I am sharing two card projects featuring the Lily Pond Lane Suite Collection

Every time there is a new catalog release, my upline, Linda Bauwin creates a card challenge open to her entire downline.  She preorders certain product like designer papers and sends it for free to anyone that signs up to participate.  This allows us to see product samples that maybe we would not have ordered ourselves.  She sets criteria such as we must make at least 2 cards, is it supposed to be a fancy fold, is it to feature a specific color... then we make our samples and send to her for voting.  If you are a winner (decided by an outside source), Linda rewards us!  Its a great way to see a lot of card samples.  So that is what I am sharing today.

My first example was created by Brenda Tryon.  I love this fold and the cute  design of the Lily Pond Lane 6" x 6" DSP.

  • She used some Pretty in Pink card stock, ribbon and embellishment, which is a 2024-2026 In Color.
  • Aren't those ducks cute!
  • The banner die is from Stylish Shapes Dies
  • Words are from the So Sincere cling stamp set

The second example I have for you was created by fellow demonstrator Tracy Jurek:

  • The embellishments are the fabulous 2024 2026 In Color Shimmer Gems (a must have in my book)
  • Words are from Layers of Beauty stamp set

I hope you enjoyed these two fabulous cards.  All product is linked below.

DON'T FORGET:  The whole month of June 2024.... our Die Cut Machines are 10% off.   As well as all stamp bundles.  Click HERE for more.
