We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop - Fun Fold Cards

We BEE Header

Hello, and thank you for stopping by our monthly blog hop.  This month's theme is a fun fold card, which are always exciting.

I am featuring the suite collection called Take To The Sky.  This is a great suite for masculine cards.

#taketothesky #stampwithlisabrown

I used Misty Moonlight as my card base and two different patterns from the Take To The Sky Design Series Paper.

  • Misty Moonlight card stock 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4 to form card base
  • Another piece of Misty Moonlight CS cut to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
  • Two different DSP patterns cut 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
  • Using the Scattered Rectangle Dies, lay the Misty Moonlight 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 on top of card front and die cut.  Die cut both pieces at same time so they align
  • Die cut both DSP pieces with the same rectangle die (save the one cut out to mount inside your card
  • Card base:  the front panel that has the rectangle die cut, score that in half at 2-1/8 then fold back creating a flap.
  • Adhere the Misty Moonlight frame but only to the half folded back flap

#taketothesky 2 #stampwithlisabrown

When adhering the inside DSP frame, cut in half at 2-1/8" so that the card still folds easily.

#taketothesky 4 #stampwithlisabrown

I die cut two sets of clouds and used Small Blending Brushes to add some Misty Moonlight ink.  Add clouds to the inside and outside of the card.

  • Stamp words on a 1/2 piece of basic white, and give the strip a curl in both directs to add a wave
  • Inside Basic White CS is 2-1/4 x 3-1/2
  • I aligned the airplane to cover majority of the inside stamps words.

A couple of my favorite Retiring Products - 2

Welcome back to see some of my favorite retiring products.

Did you see yesterday's post?  I gave a list of reasons why this is an exciting of the year to be with Stampin' Up!  If you missed it, check it out HERE.  I also showed two card projects containing some favorite items.

Today, I'm here to show you more!  So don't miss out.  Items are flying out of My Online store.  Seriously, some of the items are already gone.  I can't even order spares for my personal stock.

Here's a great graduation card.  Now the stamp set is sticking around... is the fun confetti acetate background that is now gone.  The dazzle paper is so cool and still showing in stock.

#stampwithlisabrown #cap&gown

The next card... the stamp set and dies have been a favorite of mine for awhile now.  Apparently of others too as they have been around for a bit.  But now, only the dies remain.  Bummer!

#stampwithlisabrown #sendingdies

Don't miss out.  The Last Chance List of retiring products is only good until April 30, 2024 and Clearance rack too.

A couple of my favorite Retiring Products

This is such an exciting time being with Stampin' Up!  and here are all the reasons (to me) why :

  • The "Last Chance List" has been released.  This is all items set to retire, products that won't be offer in the new catalog with the 10% bundle savings, pricing changes and a few other things.  The "Last Chance List" also offers some discounted items.
  • Clearance Rack Refresh.  Additional items are added to the Clearance rack.  These are retired items and some offered at a great discount.
  • Demonstrators like me have already seen the New 2024-2025 Catalog
  • Demonstrators like me have already received the New 2024-2025 Catalog
  • My Favorite:  Demonstrators like me ALREADY have New Product in hand from the upcoming 2024-2025 Catalog
  • New 2024-2025 Catalogs are making it into customers hands (ask me how if you would like one)
  • Incentive trip earners are getting ready to leave on a fabulous vacation and be spoiled rotten.  I should know.... I've been there!
  • We are less than two weeks away from the 2024-2025 Catalog launch

Now... with all that being said, I am going to share two card projects today and two tomorrow (so come back) that include some great retiring products.

NOTE:  I apologize that I used already Retired DSP (the gingham patterned papers in both my examples)

#stampwithlisabrown #blueberrybunches

I love everything STARRY SKY but it is a 2022-2-24 In Color and is going away, along with PARAKEET PARTY (green).  I just love how the blueberries came out with this color.  Ribbon, embellishments, papers and ink are selling out fast!  I'm happy to say the Blueberry Bunches stamp set is carrying over.

#stampwithlisabrown #sorefreshing

I hardly got to enjoy this one!  I failed to use last summer and now the So Refreshing Bundle is going away.  I think I might keep this one in my private stash.  LOL!

We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop Final Look at Mini

BeeBlogHopOpeningIcon

Welcome to our Team Blog Hop!  This month's theme has us reflecting on the retiring January - April 2024 Mini Catalog.  There are so many great items that will be going away after April 30th so that is what we are sharing.

I had to go with the Gold Foiled Flowers Cards & Envelopes.  These are an absolute favorite of mine.  They are actually from the Forever Love Suite Collection (see links below) but you can always order the cards & envelopes separately.

I'm sharing 3 Different ways I have used the cards:

1.)  Random coloring with Stampin' Blends

  • I used Lemon Lolly and Old Olive blends
  • Die cut pieces (labels and leaves) are from the Thoughtful Expressions Bundle
  • Embellished with the retiring Brushed Metallic Dots

#creativecardcloset #goldfoiledflowers #lemonlolly

2.)  Highlight coloring with Blending Brushes

  • I used the regular and small blending brushes and inks; Fresh Freesia, Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green
  • Use the brushes again to color the Paper Butterflies (ANOTHER RETIRING FAVORITE); Fresh Freesia, Balmy Blue and Highland Heather
  • Embellish again with the Brushed Metallic Dots

#creativecardcloset #goldfoiledflowers #paperbutterflies

3.) Not using the Gold Foiled Flowers card as the Card Base

  • I cut the foiled card in half then down to 4-1/8 x 5-3/8
  • Mount onto Basic Black CS
  • Layered the Thoughtful Expressions Dies and kept everything black including the Black Paper Butterfly!!!

#creativecardcloset #goldfoiledflowers #black-n-white

There are so many good things retiring and  you can see the Download 2024 Mini Catalog Retirement List and Download 2023-2024 Annual Catty Retiring List

Now..... Let's buzzz on over to Karen Burke and she what she has to share.

Classic Happy Birthday

We all need birthday cards, right?  Do you over think your project sometimes, because I know I do.

Here is a great one that you can make without much thought (not that you want to lessen the sentiment of the card), but you know what I mean.  The best part too, make it in any color you want.

Keep reading for a few tips on how to step-up the look!

Here's my classic birthday card:

20231026_081037

I am absolutely Obsessed with that font!!!

It is from the Go To Greetings stamp set and what I love is the basic greetings (Happy Birthday, Thinking of You, Just A Note, Thank You) are in several different font styles and sizes.  What a fabulous idea.  The elegant border is cut from the Distressed Gold 12x12 specialty paper, using the Elegant Border Dies - which is an Online Exclusive Item.

Here is my list of supplies I used BUT...  keep reading for ideas on how to Step Up This Card!

Product List

HOW TO STEP UP THIS PROJECT:

  1. Emboss the Basic Black Card Stock with an Embossing Folder (suggestions below for each idea)
  2. Heat Emboss Your Sentiment
  3. Add Some Gems, Rhinestones, or Sequins
  4. Add a Few Die Cut Springs tucked behind the Ribbon, Using the Same Distressed Gold Specialty Paper

#HB2U Birthday Card

Hello there...

So we have another teenager on our hands!  My nephew turned 13 and I can hardly believe it.  He is a very energetic and curious boy and Auntie enjoys our time together.  He is still wanting to hang out with me, with an occasional snuggle, I take what I can get.  The snuggles are lessening so I adore those that I do get.

Just like pictures, I take them when I can get them.  Ha! Ha!  Kids are so funny...

20231112_143949

For his birthday, he wanted to spend the weekend with me.  So when we got to celebrate with family and friends, I made this card inspire by a card I saw made by SU Demo Amanda Mertz.  Inside he found thirteen one dollar bills (yes, only $13 as I spent a small fortune the weekend he was with me...lol).

#HB2U #stampwithlisabrown

I used Thick Basic White card stock for the card base and Basic Black for the mat.  I die cut the #HB2U out of this black mat to save paper.  I also die cut each one three times to layer up and it made them kind of pop.  I highly recommend using our Adhesive Sheets and the letters and numbers are thin.  The adhesive sheets made it a breeze to adhere.

I cut random angles from the Glorious Gingham 6x6 Designer Series Paper.  Not much stamping on this one, except my happy birthday sentiment inside, but I like how it turned out.   Hope you do to.
