We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop - Everything Coming Up Green

BeeBlogHopOpeningIcon

Welcome to this month's Team Blog Hop!  I just wrote in my last blog post, how we are coming into that time of year when we will start seeing the signs of spring.  So here is some additional inspiration with our theme, 'Everything Coming Up Green'.

I decided to create 2 projects seeing as it is March, I did a monochromatic St. Patty's Day card, and a second card, showing off four other different ink colors. I hope you like.

Card 1:  for St. Patty's Day

Parakeet Party is the star here!  I love this color from the 2022-2024 In-Color collection.  I used:

  • 2022-2024 In-Color 6x6" Designer Series Paper
  • Parakeet Party 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon
  • Heart Punch Pack
  • 2022-2024 In-Color Matte Decorative Dots
  • I found the sentiment from Hello Ladybug stamp set.

Card 2:  Forever Fern

Here's a color I seem to rarely use... Shaded Spruce; which is the card base color and the rounder berry sprig.  I also used Garden Green, Mint Macaron and Old Olive.

I hope you are as excited as I am to see what Karen Burke has created so be sure to Buzzzz on over:

We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop - Color Coach Challenge

BeeBlogHopOpeningIcon

Welcome to our We BEE Stamping Blog Hop!

This month's theme is Color Coach Challenge.  What is a color coach?  Well, it is a color chart that Stampin' Up! provides with different combinations of color we normally would not think of.  Seeing as the 2022-2024 In-Colors are fresh an new, I chose to use the Sweet Sorbet coach and went with the combination of Calypso Coral and Balmy Blue.  Here is what the coach looks like, and we have them for all the colors!  Very cool tool to have and a perk of a demonstrator.

I don't know.... I'm kinda liking the Sweet Sorbet, Blushing Bride and Pool Party combo too!!!  What do you think?

Well, let's take a look at my project which features the new Cottage Rose Bundle.

#stampwithlisabrown #cottagerose

Paper:

  • Balmy Blue CS:        4-1/4 x 5-1/2 and 3-1/4 x 8-1/2 (scored at 4-1/4 x 6-3/8)
  • Calypso Coral CS:   2 pieces at 3-1/8 x 4-1/8 and a scrap piece for die cut & punch
  • Basic Black CS:        2 x 3 (die cut flower inside)
  • Basic White CS:       2 pieces at 3 x 4 and 1-1/2 x 3 and 2 pieces 1 x 4-1/8

Using the COTTAGE ROSE BUNDLE, stamp the flowers randomly on both the 1 x 4-1/8 pieces of basic white.  Color using Stampin' Blends markers in Balmy Blue, Sweet Sorbet, and Parkeet Party.  Adhere to sides of Balmy Blue CS that 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.

Fold Balmy Blue 3-1/4 x 8-1/2 on scores and adhere largest section to center of above.  You can add the two pieces of Calypso Coral mats.   Only add glue to the bottom half of the piece that will be on front of card.

Stamp and die cut your pieces on the two basic white 3 x 4 pieces and adhere.  Stamp and punch sentiment with Oval Punch and adhere with Dimensionals.

Make sure to Buzzzzzz on ahead and see what Mary Ann Rossiter chose as her colors.

Hello there!  I have a great Fun Fold for you today, or creative fold as some call it.  I'm excited to share because it features some product from the New 2022-2023 Annual Catalog which debuted this month (May 2022), including the Sending Smiles Bundle (see product details below).

And... that Designer Series Paper!  What a great background it makes.  It is also new and called Hues of Happiness.  Let's take a look:

Ooooo those blues and greens!

Here is a top view so you can see the fun fold.  Its a z-fold and unique which is why I like it so much.

Card Details:    CS=cardstock   DSP=Designer Series Paper

Paper

  • Night of Navy CS:              2 pieces cut to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
  • Night of Navy CS:              2 x 4
  • Granny Apple Green CS:  2 pieces cut to 4 x 5-1/4
  • Basic White CS:                 3 x 4 (for words & flowers)
  •  Basic White CS:                3-3/4 x 11 (scored at 5" and 10" on long side)
  • Hues of Happiness DSP: 4 x 5-1/2

Stamps, Ink & Accessories

  • Granny Apple Green,  Pool Party & Daffodil Delight Class Ink
  • Sending Smiles Bundle
  • Glossy Dots Assortment
  • Stampin' Dimensionals

Cutting & Stamping Instructions

  • On  2x4 Night of Navy CS, die cut the background 'sending' word
  • Take one of the Granny Apple Green CS pieces, and die cut the word 'Sending' from the MIDDLE
  • Adhere above to die cuts together
  • On 3x4 white CS, stamp flowers and words then die cut with coordinating dies.  Flower petals are Pool Party, flower centers are Daffodil Delight and the stems are in Granny Apple Green
  • On the 3-3/4 x 11 Basic White CS, after scored, the bigger section will measure 3-3/4 x 5.  This will be your inside so stamp your inside sentiment (make sure stamp in correct direction).  I also added an extra strip of DSP so I cut down to 1/2 x 3-1/2 and adhere to the right side.  You can see it in the above photo.

Putting it together

  • Adhere pieces of the 4 x 5-1/4 Granny Apple Green CS to each of the Night of Navy CS 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
  • Adhere DSP on top of one of the above to make the card front
  • Take the 3-3/4 x 11 scored white.  The part you stamped your inside sentiment, adhere this on top of the other piece of Granny Apple Green.  Now fold over.  The score should be on your left so valley fold; then mountain fold on the other score line.
  • Put adhesive on the 2" flap, close all folds, lay card front piece on top and adhere down.
  • Adhere words, flowers and stems to card front.  Make sure to use Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Bling with the Glossy Dots Assortments
