2021-2022 Annual Catalog Feed

My Favorite Dies without Stamps to Match

Did you know there are several products in the catalog that are just on their own?  Meaning, they are not available in a bundle; they are not apart of a product suite; they do not  have a coordinating stamp set.

Let me introduce you to the ICONIC DIES!  Look how cute these are.  I have absolutely No idea why, but those mushrooms stood out to me and I just had to get this die set.  Yep!  No matching stamp set for this one.  Odd right... well, sometimes I do purchase dies or a punch and not the coordinating stamps so I was just as happy.

Iconic.

I made a couple of projects to share...

Card 1:

PicsArt_11-12-04.17.46

  • I die cut 3 of each flower on Basic White card stock.  MAKE SURE to put Adhesive Sheets on the basic before you die cut.  Adhere those to a 4-1/8 x 5-3/8 piece of Basic White.  Snip off extra flowers hanging over the edges.
  • Using Blending Brushes, blend on colors Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight.   The edges of flowers will pop as it catches extra color.
  • Mount to Pumpkin Pie card base 5-1/2 x 8-/12 scored at 4-1/4
  • Heat emboss in White, your sentiment, on Basic Black card stock.  Fussy cut around words and mount to card front with Dimensionals.
  • Add some gems for bling!

Card 2:

Picsart_22-02-03_14-04-32-366

  • Card base is standard A2 size of Thick Basic White card stock
  • On a piece of regular Basic White that is 4-1/8 x 5-3/8,  use Blending Brushes to blend the same three colors I use on Card 1.
  • How did I get that oval?  I took a piece of scrap paper, same size as above;  die cut an oval, laid it  over my Basic White card stock, creating a mask and sponged the color.  Remove the scrap paper  to reveal the oval
  • Die cut the bird and branch, again making sure to use Adhesive Sheets and adhere to card front
  • Heat emboss words with white powder on black card stock and adhere with Dimensionals
  • Add some rhinestones for some bling!

Note:  I accidentally used a retired stamp set for my words but you can obviously use anything you have on hand

Welcome to February's Team blog hop.  As you can see from the title, our theme is Love is in the Air so I chose to go with a Valentine's Day card.  And I also went back to the annual catalog to pull out some favorite products such as the Word Wishes and Floral Hearts dies, the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder and the Gold and Rose Gold 6x6 Metallic Specialty Paper.

Picsart_22-02-01_19-53-36-875

  • 1 x 6 Basic Black CS scored at 3-5/8
  • 1 sheet of the Rose Gold Metallic Specialty paper

In The Moment - Pop out Window Card

New from the January-June 2022 catalog, "In The Moment" stamp set is sure to be a favorite.  The images and phrases are perfect for a little encouragement. This is a great project to use the Layering Diorama Dies and Blending Brushes.

Picsart_22-01-13_13-05-44-766

Here is a direct front view and then what the back of the card looks like:

Picsart_22-01-13_13-07-09-985    Picsart_22-01-13_13-14-58-909

Card Details:

  • Basic White Card Stock (CS):
    • 2 pieces 5-1/2 x 6-1/4
    • 3-3/4 x 5
    • 4 x 5-1/4
    • 3 x 3 or scrap piece for girl
  • Pumpkin Pie CS:  2 pieces  4 x 5-1/4
  • Ink:  Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight,  Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Black  Memento
  • Blends Alcohol markers:  Ivory, Crumb Cake, Soft Sea Foam, Daffodil Delight, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent, Cherry Cobbler

Accessories:  Blending Brushes, Layering Diorama Dies

Front of Card:

  1. Score both 5-1/2 x 6-1/4 pieces of Basic White the same.  1/2" and 1" both ends - on the long side of CS (better to fold score lines later).  Making scores lines, will create a center section that is 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 (like a standard card front) so you can use that a reference to make sure you scored correctly.
  2. Die cut one of above pieces with Layering Diorama Die in center of CS (I laid my at an angle)
  3. Take 4 x 5-1/4 Pumpkin Pie CS, center on back of above piece, lightly trace the Diorama opening from front.  Use the next smaller Diorama die that fits in the tracing, and die cut.
  4. Fully adhere Pumpkin Pie CS to Basic White making sure you can see the Pumpkin Pie outline from the front
  5. Find stamp with word "relax".  Use Basic Black Stampin' Marker to color "relax" only and stamp on bottom, right side of card front.
  6. Stamp girl with Memento Ink and color using Stampin' Blends.  Fussy cut and adhere her to front of card.  NOTE:  watch where you put adhesive, only needs to be on bottom portion.

Inside Scenery:

  1. Take 4 x 5-1/4 Basic White CS and color scenery with Blending Brushes (Balmy Blue at bottom, then go up and blend in Pool party, Pumpkin Pie and finally, Daffodil Delight at top.
  2. Color birds only, from girl stamp, with Basic Black Marker and  stamp three sets of birds
  3. Adhere scenery piece to center of 2nd piece of 6-1/4 x 5-1/2 Basic White CS
  4. On other side of this same 5-1/2 x 6-1/4 Basic White, you can add the other Pumpkin Pie CS and the 3-3/4 x 5 Basic White with stamped sentiment

Putting it all together:  Place adhesive ONLY on the outer edges of the Basic  White CS.  I found it best to line up one side then the other.  You can now do your folds and crease with a bone folder.  The 1" score line will be a mountain fold.  The 1/2" score line will  be a valley fold and will create tab  ends and this is what you fold in to mail in a regular A2 envelope.

We BEE Stamping TEAM Blog Hop - Fall Is In the Air

BeeBlogHopOpeningIcon

Welcome to our October Team Blog Hop!  Fall is my favorite time of the year so I am excited to have this as our topic for this month.

I chose to use the Quiet Meadow Bundle as the focal of my project.  What a great stamp and die set.  I hope you like my project and my supply list can be found below.

#fall#stampwithlisabrown

Card Details:

  • Soft Suede card base.  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored and folded at 4-1/4
  • Adhere a 4-1/8 x 5-3/8 piece of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper
  • Next I used a piece of Very Vanilla CS that was 4 x 5-1/4.  To this, you will want to stamp the word stamp in Soft Suede ink all over your Vanilla card stock.  Then hand tear the edges so it is approximately 3-3/4 x 5 (does not have to be exact).  Next, use a sponge dauber to add Soft Suede ink the the edges and adhere to card front
  • Die cut flowers and leaves as shown and adhere to card front.  I added the Rich Razzleberry and So Saffron flowers with Dimensionals
  • Stamp words in Soft Suede and die cut.  Add to card with Dimensionals
  • Die die and add butterflies
  • Embellish with a Bumblebee Trinket, In Color Gems and Gold Cording

SAVI Sunday 62 - Soft Pastels with Sponge Daubers

Welcome to my SAVI Sunday Post... that's Stamping & Various Inspiration.  Watch My Video Here

Today's inspiration is our Soft Pastels Assortment.  These are pastel chalks that come in Stampin' Up! colors (Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green, Night of Navy, Gorgeous Grape, Mossy Meadow and Poppy Parade).  What a great assortment of colors.  Stampin' Up! used to carry pastels many years ago and I have to say... these are Way Better!

In my Video, I show you the most basic way to use the pastel chalks.  You simply scrape the chalk sticks to get some lose pigment powder, dip a sponge dauber into the powder and color.  But first, the magic step is to stamp your image with VersaMark ink.  This is the clear, sticky ink most people use when they want to heat emboss.  Just like in heat embossing, the embossing powder sticks to the VersaMark Ink, so does the pastel chalks.
