SAVI Sunday 34 - Mirror Stamping

Thank you for joining me for my next Savi Sunday video showing you how to do Mirror Stamping, also known as reverse stamping.  I am highlighting the Dove of Hope stamp set from the bundle available in the 2020 Holiday catalog (2020 August-December mini catalog).  You'll have to forgive my photography this time as I am away from home and my usual process.  :)

You can see my video HERE to see the easy method I do using the Stamparatus and Silicone craft sheet.  You will stamp the dove on the right onto the Smoky Slate card stock.  Remove the Smoky Slate CS and place your silicone mat into the Stamparatus and stamp the dove.  Now flip over your CS and place into Stampartus and rub over area where you stamped on the silicone mat to transfer the ink.  The video shows this process so it may be easier to understand.

Need a quick and easy little gift box?  Here is one for you that you can make in minutes.  You just need a piece of 6x6 Designer Series Paper and coordinating card stock.  This one would be great for a masculine option or fall theme. 

Lid:  Plaid Tiding 6 x 6 DSP.  Score each side at 1/2" and 1-1/2" (back off edge of Score board slightly.... about 1/16")

Box base:  Early Espresso CS  cut to 7 x 7.  Score each side at 2"

Tag:  Two pieces of card stock cut at 2 x 3...  One Very Vanilla and one Early Espresso

I used the Early Espresso Faux Suede Ribbon to tie up the box.  Finished box is approximately 5 x 5 x 3 (you can for sure fit 4 Ferrero Rocher chocolates)

Hi there... thanks for stopping by.  I have a surprise combination for you with this card project. 

In the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog (aka... holiday catalog as I call it), there is a great product suite called Magic In this Night. You should click on that title and check it out, especially if you love Halloween!  Super cool stuff in that suite. 

For me though, my eyes went right to the Magic in This Night Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I could see right past the Halloween themes and saw the really pretty black-n-white flowers, stripes, and ornate designs.  So that is what I choose as my background paper.  I love how this card came out!

Card Details:

• Basic Black Card stock (CS) cut 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4 on the long side to form card base
• Adhere piece of Whisper White CS cut 4-1/8 x 5-3/8
• Wrap about a 6" piece of Metallic Mesh Ribbon across front & around edges of DSP (DSP is 4 x 5-1/4)
• Adhere DSP to card on top of Whisper White CS
• Die cut the 4 Peony Dies from Whisper White CS
• Using Sponge Dauber and Black Memento ink, sponge all around the flowers, then assemble them
• Die cut flower stamen center from Black Glitter Paper and adhere to flower
• Die cut 3 solid leaves from Granny Apple Green CS
• Die cut 3 detail leaves from Mossy Meadow CS and adhere these on top of Granny Apple Green
• Adhere leaves onto back of Peony flower
• Adhere flower to card front with Dimensionals
• Stamp words in Black Memento Ink on Whisper White CS (3/4 x 2-1/2) & flag cut the one end
• Embellish with Iridescent Pearls

I hope you like this card using Halloween paper that is not so Halloweenie... LOL!

SAVI Sunday - Episode 26:  Using the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper

Have you seen the Plush Poinsettia Paper yet?  Oh my!  It is so awesome.  The flock and thickness of the vellum are very high quality.  I decided to make this part of a 3 part series of projects and videos to share with you!  So here is project and video one.

Featuring:  Wishes & Wonder Bundle

Card Details:

• Thick Whisper White card base cut 5-1/2 x 8-1/2.  Scored at 4-1/4 on the 8-1/2 side
• Cut Plush Poinsettia Paper to 4 x 5-1/4
• Color back side of Plush paper with Dark Cherry Cobbler Blends marker
• Adhere to card front with Glue Dots
• Gold Foil scrap at least 2-1/4 x 4... cut with tag die
• 2 x 2 Cherry Cobbler CS die cut with decorative circle die
• 2 x 2 Whisper White, stamp North Pole stamp and die cut with Bundle circle die
• Die cut 4 leaves in Pretty Peacock CS (see inside for 4th leaf)
• Adhere gold tag to card front with Dimensionals
• Adhere 3 leaves to back of Cherry Cobbler circle with glue dots
• Adhere both circles down with Dimensionals
• Tie a Double bow with ribbon and adhere with glue dots

Inside:

I had a scrap piece of the Plush Poinsettia Paper left over so I decided to color the back and adhere to the inside of my card.  Then added a Pretty Peacock leaf for some extra detail.

SAVI Sunday (Stamping & Various Inspirations)

This weeks Savi Sunday (#25) features the Celebration Tidings Bundle, Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper and Black Glitter Paper.  

I love the Celebration Tidings Bundle as it is one of the New bundles in the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog that is versatile.  It covers several different holidays which is always a plus in my book.  AND the Celebration Label Dies... I love nesting dies and I love the shape of these!

I think the real eye catcher here though, is the New Black Glitter paper.  Make sure to see it in my SAVI Sunday video below!

• use 2nd & 3rd Celebration Labels die and cut frame from Black Glitter paper
• Cajun Craze DSP is cut from 2nd Celebration Label Die 
• See video on tip coloring edges of above piece
• Glue Black Glitter frame to Cajun Craze DSP piece
• Adhere above with Black Dimensionals
• Stamp words in Black Memento ink and die cut with smallest label die.  Adhere to card with Dimensionals
• Stamp spider on Whisper White paper with black ink & die cut
• Die cut a spider out of Black Glitter paper
• Adhere stamped spider piece to glitter spider with glue dots & adhere to label with a Dimensional

Don't forget about the inside....

Opppss.... I accidentally cut my paper wrong.  Should be Whisper White cut to 4 x 5-1/4
