Happy New Year

I hope everyone is enjoying their holidays and have been spending some time with family and friends.   I want to wish each of you a very Happy New Year and all the best for 2019.

Happy New Year

As we look forward to a new year, with renewed hope and possibilities, I hope that you keep crafting, making cards, and scrapbooking.  I appreciate everyone's support in 2018 and look forward to connecting in 2019.

Did You Know???

Did you know Stampin' Up! listened to their Demonstrators and customers?

Debuting in the 2019 Occasions catalog are "Cling" stamps.  They will be replacing our current 'red rubber' stamps including wood-mount stamps (except wood-mount Background stamps... these are staying).

Meant To Be with All My Love

It's coming, it's coming... the 2019 Occasions catalog and Sale-a-Bration are coming!  Both start on January 3, 2019.  Can you believe it is that awesome time of year again!   Just a reminder, Sale-a-Bration is the time of year you are rewarded for your purchases.  Product purchase of $50 or $100 (before SHT) gets you Free item(s) from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  I will be posting links to download the catalogs soon.

Here is a sneak peak of 2 cards I made with the Meant To Be Bundle (#150587) using the All My Love Designer Series paper (#148576), ribbon (combo pack # 148584) and epoxy heart droplets (# 148583).   Yeah!  Stampin' Up! has Heart Framelits again.

I signed up for a team challenge and was sent several quarter sheets of paper, a strip of ribbon, three epoxy hearts, and a ton of die cuts.... These are my two creations.

I can't wait to see what everyone else made with their samples of product.  And I cannot wait to share more from the new catalog!

If you shopped with me over the past year, you should have received the 2019 Occasions catalog and Sale-a-Bration brochure.  If not, and you would like a set, contact me and I will get them in your hands.

A little cuteness.... A little non-stamping

Jolly Old Saint Nick has come and gone.  All the hustle and bustle to shop, prepare and organize is behind us.  Next up, celebrating the New Year which I hope you do in style. 😊

Are you like me and take alllllll these photos which end up stuck on your phone?  Ugh!  So I thought, why not share a few with you.

Here is my wrapping helper, well, or maybe he just wanted to be the present...  My other guy on the back of the couch could care less. Lol.  But not Butterscotch. He has to investigate everything.

Christmas day with the family was great.  I have two adorable little nieces, then one who is 12 and a nephew that is 8.  The kids sure do make the holidays fun and exciting.  The baby is now on the move and into everything.  Her 2-1/2 year old sister is not quite sure about the situation and is quick to say, "No, no, no sissy....Mine!  No touch!"  This should be fun with all the new toys.

I love to make handmade gifts and this year was no exception.  Do you guys know what a Cricut is or have one?  Most of  you should know what it is but just in case, in short, it is an electronic die cutting machine.  I try to use it when I can. Cutting out iron on vinyl to make t-shirts for the kids or vinyl decor items.  This year I adventured into the world of glass etching.  I designed images and words, then cut those as stencils from vinyl, transferred the stencil to glass and used an etching cream from the local craft store.  A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.  I will definitely be doing more next year if not sooner, and trying on glass ornaments... hmmmmm.  Here is some of the bakeware gifts I made.

And one more family project which was fun to work on.  My SIL loved it!  Scrabble-like tiles connecting their names together.

I hope you liked me sharing.  I took a short week or so off from card making to do my holiday prep and projects.  I'll be sharing Stampin' Up! news and projects very soon.  Until then... Happy crafting!

The Swirls of Christmas with Stylish Christmas

Are you in the heart of your Christmas festivities?  I sure am.  Did a lot of shopping this weekend and the community concert band I play in had another concert tonight.  A local church was gracious to give us a rehearsal space this year as our former location went under renovation.  We decided to stay at the church so we offered their congregation a free concert to say thank you.  Actually, we did a summer fanfare and now Christmas.  It is nice to play for a larger audience.  Our mission is playing for rehab and assisted living facilities in the area and sometimes there are only 10 people listening.

Today's card features the stamp set, Stylish Christmas.  I am in love with the swirls that come in the set.  It is in the Annual Catalog so you will be able to get this one for at least six more months. Which I like because poinsettias can be for general winter themed cards, not just for the holidays.

Make sure to check out the following pictures to see close up details.  Those swirls are embossed in silver and the mat paper is Silver Foil.  We stamped the poinsettia in Pool Party on Whisper White then on a scrap piece of Whisper White.  The poinsettia on scrap white was fussy cut with Stampin' Up! Paper Snips scissors (the best!) and adhered with Dimensions.

I've included a photo of the stamped inside so you have a complete card sample.
