I am enjoying a girl's scrapbooking weekend in Lake Chautauqua, NY.  I have been coming here for the last few years, every spring and fall.  We have scrapbookers, card makers, those that sew and some who color Mandala books.  It is your weekend to do what you like, hang with friends, relax and enjoy.  The retreat center over looks the beautiful lake and normally we have the sun shining so we can go for a walk and take in the fresh air.  Not this time though.  It is cold and rainy, with the chance of snow for tomorrow.  I guess that means I can get more Christmas cards done. 

This week was my second product based class.  The girls were super excited to see what I had in store for them.  For the cost of class, they received "Feeling of Christmas" stamp set, Winter Wonder Textured Impressions embossing folder, 6 silver foil snowflakes and 6 gold, 5 yards of Silver and 5 yards of Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon, and 5 Acetate Boxes.

We used the Winter Wonder embossing folder to add the snowflake image on the Acetate Box.  Such a cool effect.  Then I gave them some extra ribbon, a silver snowflake, 2 silver ornaments and a spring of greenery to decorate the box.  I love how they came out! 

    

The class then made three standard size cards with envelopes to go inside the boxes.  These are perfect gifts for a co-workers, neighbors, or if you are on a bowling team or book club.  What a great, inexpensive gift to hand out to someone that might not be expecting anything.
